Crazy to think how little has changed. If you look center right below the star wars sign theres a shelf of action figures. Literal reprints of the ones we had as kids. When we were kids there was a new cartoon with new action figures every season, but that's all kinda died out. Its just the sane big nanes over and over now Star wars, marvel/dc, WWE (or whatever its called now), TMNT, Transformers, and then whatever the current jarrasic park clone us out now. Its just kind of a bummer like they just turned out the lights on innovative cartoons and toys the instant our generation grew out of it and everything is just recycled.

I know it's obviously not the same and I'm not even sure it's the same ownership group, but it's cool to see TRU live on, even in a truncated form. Still wish today's kids knew the greatness of walking in a TRU and plotting which aisles you'd raid during the 1989 Super Toy Run.

I remember when a Toys R Us opened near us. We only had some small toy stores before and going into a Toys R Us the first time was magical. Whenever my parents made me come shopping with them we had to go there and I bought my PS2 there from money I got from my first real job. Back when you could go into a store 3 days after the release of a new Play Station and just buy one for MSRP.
