Are they MAGAS?
NotEmerald@reddit
They were all endorsed by the Democratic party

Maria Tu is Maga-light, but I don’t think she was up for re-election. I’d love to see her go but I didn’t see her on the ballot when I voted.
GheistHund374@reddit
Correct, she wasn't, but reminder that there is no such thing as maga-lite
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Amazing
So happy for y'all
Maybe I'll move to Plano Next year
Farmers Branch is getting on my last nerve
Ur-Upstairs-Neighbor@reddit
MAGAs got overwhelmingly voted out across Texas.
redditedoutagain@reddit
I’m assuming you mean City Council only, correct?
Ur-Upstairs-Neighbor@reddit
City council and school boards.
redditedoutagain@reddit
Gotcha. I asked because I was wondering if you meant in Texas politics as well.
redditedoutagain@reddit
Yet Abbott and his cronies are still in office. He, Paxton, Patrick, and the majority of those in the House and Senate. Hell, even Cruz supports him after Trump talked shit about his wife. So, how were they voted out?
pokeyporcupine@reddit
I love that. Idk why person is getting downvoted, it's a valid question.
sfa1500@reddit
Probably because they are so apparently concerned about them being MAGA without doing any research, and clearly not voting in the elections.
KGLO2791@reddit
Not everyone here is from Plano. I live in a neighboring city.
FloweredViolin@reddit
They might not live in Plano. I'm subbed here because I work in Plano, and it's nice to know what's going on. But I'm not eligible to vote there, because I don't live there.
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Here here! Happy to hear that so much. What a relief.
Quick-Eggplant-715@reddit
NO IT WAS A BLUE WAVE SHHHH ( quietly )🤔🤔👏👏🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
ContentMushroom5119@reddit
All of them were endorsed by Plano Area Democrats.
roadsidegunfight@reddit
as long as none of them were named Mohammed, Ibrihim or Sultana I’m good with it
cuberandgamer@reddit
Are these people going to try to destroy the bus, rail, paratransit, and GoLink services the most vulnerable residents rely on?
That's what the previous Plano council attempted
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)
That’s the state legislature’s job.
cuberandgamer@reddit
It was filed on Plano's behalf, Shelby Williams got the council on this anti-DART kick. Mayor Muns testified in support of HB 3187 when it got a committee hearing. I wish he wouldn't though
helic_vet@reddit
Are a lot of the East Asians and South Asians in Plano not like citizens?
This-Speech4659@reddit
Correct. They’re all here as part of the H1B1 visa scam. Then they have kids who hear who are granted birthright citizenship. Overall good immigrants. There is one downside, a lot of Indians bring their parents who are elderly to “visit them”. They then “fake” a medical emergency to get them into the hospitals and don’t pay the bills. So the rest of pay for through higher premiums. And don’t get me started on they’re conduct in Costco.
Meli_mel63@reddit
How many ran this time? They have to be willing to run. Also, it would help if the voting percentages went up.
SnooRobots7974@reddit
Maybe these folks can figure out how to not be in a budget deficit and figure out how to get the taxes right.
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)
The city is not allowed to run a deficit.
Meli_mel63@reddit
So happy to see Chris Krupa on it!
Lone-Specialist@reddit
Buncha old farts
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)
The demographics of your city council, new members in bold. Don’t complain if you aren’t running yourself.
Lone-Specialist@reddit
🤢🤮figured a way to make it worse
GlocalBridge@reddit
Your statistics are not right. The Asian percentage is definitely too low. Here are better statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau for 2024: White (alone) 53.2%, Black 9%, Asian (alone) 22.6%, Two or more races 10.9%, Hispanic/Latino 16.2% (White but not Hispanic 48.2%).
azwethinkweizm@reddit
I'm still curious as to why the police association didn't endorse Vidal. Every other candidate they endorsed won. Don't kid yourself, candidates take that stuff personally.
sasquatch_Plano@reddit
Every other candidate that got the endorsement including Hayden (who also got it) used the same political consultants. Vidal had more prerequisites than anyone. Let that sink in!
sasquatch_Plano@reddit
I tried to expose this on Sasquatchslate.com
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)
Bill, you endorsed Hayden, not Vidal.
GlocalBridge@reddit
Not really reflective of the ethnic diversity of Plano.
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)
The Plano City Council is now 75% white, which is an improvement from the 88% white council we had last term. 70% of the May 3 voters were white. If you want an ideal racial distribution the council needs one more non-white member (at the 2020 census Plano was 62% white, 18% Hispanic many under 18, 11% black, 5% south Asian, 4% east Asian). But that’s not who ran. If you want a more diverse council encourage more diverse people to complete Leadership Plano (the pipeline for council members).
sfa1500@reddit
Did members of the ethnic diversity of Plano run and campaign for positions? And were they qualified?
kanishevilya@reddit
Also, the majority of Plano’s ethnically diverse communities probably just don’t have voting rights due to not being US citizens.
Sirsnacksalot23@reddit
They got their token in in the gentleman named Vidal
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Hahahaha of course it isn't lol
caranza3@reddit
Ah yes the city council that reflects the ethnic make of Plano
Stafford4Collin@reddit (OP)

This-Speech4659@reddit
God damn! Too many worthless old bastards.
emeraldpixiedust@reddit
Thought the language was a little strong, but it seems your comment history follows suit. It's harmful to be hateful, moreso to yourself than others
heinzenfeinzen@reddit
Did you have the same comment and sentiment on all the Shelby Williams "hate" posts?
emeraldpixiedust@reddit
I encourage kindness whenever I can. Hate needs to make its way out of politics, period. It's not correct when used by anybody. Focusing on facts and finding a productive compromise should be the goal for all
heinzenfeinzen@reddit
I agree! But the people posting here about Shelby Williams obviously don't share this sentiment.
emeraldpixiedust@reddit
Tried to find the post you mentioned (or at least a similar one) and I see what you mean. There's a lot of work to be done!
I appreciate your responses and the attention to existing double standards. Unnecessary aggression is definitely more common than people like to admit
2fit2furious@reddit
Love this energy, gives me hope for the future, keep it up stranger!
emeraldpixiedust@reddit
That means a lot, thank you! 🙏
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Take it from an angry person, you should listen to them
cvsmith122@reddit
Well Plano is screwed now, at least they will still have to listen to the state
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Yeah wait for the primaries
Hot wheels will not be wheeling his traitor ass back into our capital again
ghostlee13@reddit
From your lips to God's ears! And may that crook Paxton lose big too.
ShaoMinghui@reddit
Paxton can go pax another sock in his crotch
Immature unqualified entitled narcissists need to be nowhere near politics but sadly that's so many of them
Paxton can pax his bags and join him with Cruz in Cancun. Maybe wheel ole internalized ablist hot wheels down there too
Y'all smell burnt meat? Cause that was a SICK roast NGL
Ok_Criticism3119@reddit
Looks about white
ContentMushroom5119@reddit
I hope Bob Kehr helps get the traffic lights timed
Csharp27@reddit
Man I hit a perfect score making greens on Parkwood from Frisco to Plano Pkwy the other day, I think he’s already done it. Also just had to tell someone.

I bet he is working on this now!
one_is_enough@reddit
I saw him out at one of the poles tonight with a laptop and soldering gun.
zDedly_Sins@reddit
I really hope so.
JayWo60@reddit
Bob Kehr was also endorsed by the Plano Republicans.
