For starters, more than a single pair of nitrile gloves. But in no particular order things I have in my kit i believe are missing from here.

Several Pairs of Nitriles.
Way more 4x4s.
Quik clot 4x4s - they work very well.
Vaseline Gauze
Kerlix gauze wrap - better for packing a wound than 4x4s. And can be used for wrapping.
ABDs 1-2x (along with an Ace wrap instead of the trauma dressing - This would also decrease overhead for them)
Coban - quick pressure dressing in a pinch. Sub this if you're not bringing an Ace wrap.
Tape - Mediport tape and a roll of electrical tape.
A blade of some kind - Probably an #11 blade if I had to pick one.
Small baggy of Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
Debatable because of cost - I'm a firm believe that you should have two Tourniquets. Pick your flavor.
Debatable: Small bottle of betadine - "Sterility is a luxury in trauma

Most of these items are small and squishable. With a slightly larger bag are very easy to fit. If you take the tourniquet out and put it in it's own pouch, you definitely have enough room.

Other Items I keep in mine I don't expect here. These are very practical to have if you have the training.

Surgical Gloves: the Orthopedic ones are best if you're not doubling up. Nitriles rip and breakdown all the time.
A lot more 4x4s, several kerlix, several ABDs.
A second blade - usually a #10 blade.
a 14 gauge angiocatheter - for pneumothorax or emergency airway.
Needle Driver, pickups and a few O, 2-O, and 4-O Silk sutures.
Pair of Kelly's and Hemostats.
Some Dermabond.
A small but very powerful head lamp - "you can't fix what you can't see"
Other things that I'm forgetting.

Since this is an IFAK, or individual first aid kid, it is oriented more towards immediate life saving trauma care to be performed. What you’re recommending would be building out more of a generic aid kid. Which while useful, fills a different role than an IFAK. These contents are in line with recommendations from several physicians leading in combat medicine. RE is pretty well regarded in the tacmed community, they definitely know what they are doing.

Eh. Not really man. I'm well aware what an IFAK is - and it's purpose. I too have dealt with many a GSW, and a tiny kit with a chest seal, a single Combat wrap, and a single tourniquet aint it for penetrating trauma anywhere outside an extremity. You're trying to buy you or your buddy time and this is too limited for that. Quik clot alone should be in every IFAK. Period.

Everything I have in my bag is a larger medic bag, but the items in my first list will give a more comprehensive aresenal to buy you or a buddy in trouble time to get to higher tier care, and will fit the same footprint.
