Is this still the same basic engine? How is backwards compatibility here?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Lambda_engine Hyundai has had 9 different variations of a 3.3L V6. No, the one found in the 2021 K9 is not the same as anything they were making in 2008.
