Flow through is the patented name of a HUXWRX technology. The CAT mob is a hybrid design on the lower end of the back pressure spectrum from my understanding. CAT makes optimized cans for dedicated purposes. I believe 300 blk subs are fine but supers are a no go. Pistol is also a no go. At the end of the day go to the source for info.
You can get more flexibility by looking elsewhere, but more general means less optimized.
If I only have one PCC and nothing with hub mounts (the PCC just has a trilug adapter that I’m currently attaching a wolfman to) and I want to switch to the MOB, is there any reason not to just go QD?
I understand, I was just saying I currently have a trilug adapter on and but this would only be used in one PCC so is there any reason not to just go with the QD since the QD performs better.
I know I could get an adapter for it if I get the hub mount option. I’m asking if there’s any reason I shouldn’t go with the QD if it will only go one on PCC and I have nothing else that hub mounts at this point.
That’s what I was thinking but I just needing to wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something since I have no familiarity with the hub ecosystem.
Yea I just have no real reason to keep the trilug and overall I don’t know I even like it that much. If I’m spending the money on another suppressor to use on it I figure that I might as well get the best performing option.
I was just looking at some testing and it looks incredible and would go perfect with my super safety & PTR 9CT. It’s just that I also want a 9mm pistol suppressor so I think I’ll probably still compromise and get something else.
Do you have any suppressors at all? If not, you will discover that you will buy more and more once you buy one, and when you buy one, you will discover the features and characteristics you want out of them. By compromising, you will just sink money in a suppressor that you won't want in the future. Ask me how I know.
Nope I don’t have any at all, I’ve always held off because I don’t like the idea of the hoops you have to jump through to get one and the waiting period. This MP5 clone has made me want one enough to do the process so maybe it would just be best to get one tailored specifically for it.
Just buy a 3 lug hub mount. I’m using the Silencerco one on a couple of my suppressors. Works great. I have a YHM 3 lug but it’s too long for the MOB I believe
It’s titanium so yes. It’s just an inherent thing with titanium suppressors. I can’t say how much compared to others and how much it goes away but it’ll definitely spark.
Let me help. If you want to add a trilug you can get a trilug adapter (male end that threads on your barrel) Kaw Valley Precision gets recommended a lot but there are a dozen or so different manufacturers that make them. You want a 1/2x28 thread pitch which is standard. Then, the Cat Mob has internal threads that are 1.375x24 known as Hub or Bravo pattern, so you'll need a trilug adapter for the suppressor. YHM makes one, so does Resilient.
To recap, you need a tri lug muzzle device in 1/2x28. You'll need a trilug suppressor adapter in 1.375x24 (HUB/Bravo pattern)

This, or the new HuxWrx flow 9mm ti?
Grenwold@reddit
This, highest performing 9mm pcc/sub gun can tested by Pew Science
escapecali603@reddit
And this one is also flow through as well? Can it be used with a piston on a handgun? Can it also handle 300 blk?

escapecali603@reddit
Not even on a pistol? I am sure I can it's just not optimized.
tyraywilson@reddit
Probably because no Neilson device.
Grenwold@reddit
I recall seeing that CAT does not advise it
chuckisduck@reddit
I have a vent 3 and am considering this...anyone shot both of these?
also considering which mount to get..would probably sit dedicated on the Sp5 or the MPX.
Number1AbeLincolnFan@reddit
Keep in mind it's also huge on a PCC. It's likely going to be as long or longer than your barrel.
Knee_High_Cat_Beef@reddit
CAT MOB is quieter. The flow 9k is much smaller, much lighter, and louder. It all depends on what you want.
escapecali603@reddit
I might go for the longer flow range 36 Ti eventually.
Minimum_Government@reddit
What’s your intended use?

I should have some of these tomorrow and discounted if you have a shop with reasonable transfer fees.
muffinman1604@reddit
Interested. Or AC 9SMG

Code "papricematch"
muffinman1604@reddit
Tax stamp credit work if I don't use the code? Or that only for certain cans?
bevanballistic@reddit
The tax stamp rebate doesn’t work on that one. That would be below cost. Sorry!
muffinman1604@reddit
That's kind of what I was thinking but figured I'd ask. Thanks

Solid price. I don't see any tax in VA either. I assume I just put my FFL as the shipping address?

What price?
quadRail4000@reddit
Just bought one on Saturday! Very stoked

If you go QD you wouldn’t be able to use trilug

No. No reason not to go QD.

Blk_Lion_reloaded@reddit
Or you can get the hub mounted version, purchase a tri lug mount from the same company that your tri lug adapter is
TacticalLarping@reddit
Yea I just have no real reason to keep the trilug and overall I don’t know I even like it that much. If I’m spending the money on another suppressor to use on it I figure that I might as well get the best performing option.
NorthernSanes@reddit
Everyone seems to love the resilient one, It's not as light and flush mounted but the dead air three ring and the dead air hub mount works for me.
oreo1298@reddit
Is this really worth the price increase over something like the OCL Lithium?
_itsalwaysdns@reddit
Yes, worth every penny. Do note, this is a dedicated sub gun suppressor.

That is the route I would go. Just a warning, once you shoot and own a suppressor, you won't want to shoot anything unsuppressed.
RustyAnnihilation@reddit

yobo9193@reddit
Allegedly yes, but I haven’t seen any out of mine
Subverto_@reddit
No sparks with 9mm subs out of my SP5s.
thismyotheraccount2@reddit
Same with my MPX and subs
TacticalLarping@reddit

This is confusing lol. So if I just have a threaded barrel from the ap5 lt (no tri lug) what do I need for this to work?

Nothing
You’d buy this and thread it into the end of your barrel
Jake55777@reddit
CAT also mentioned they are working on their own tri lug for hubs in a comment a few days ago
