yeah but it's green tip
jay_kay25@reddit
Bought 1000 rounds last week and just bought another 1000 rounds today haha
jay_kay25@reddit
If you’re a club member, I would wait till tomorrow for the additional 10%
Ornery_Type_9264@reddit
And buy discounted gift cards to use to save even more money (as long as your a club member) as that will count towards the club member discount like the credit card.
Sketchy_M1ke@reddit
Does that actually work?
Ornery_Type_9264@reddit
I have the credit card just to be a club member. I usually buy gift cards off GCX and use those on member mondays. Over the phone and in person you can use as many as you want. On the internet I think it’s a 5 or 6 card limit.
LiberalLamps@reddit
They are doing the 10% off today, that stacks with the 5% military discount if you have that. About 38cpr for me.
pauliep13@reddit
The "Outdoor Rewards" club right?
jay_kay25@reddit
No the club member Monday. When you log in tomorrow there should be a code for 10% off. They don’t do it every Monday though
pauliep13@reddit
I guess I don’t know what that is. I’ll go back to the website and see.
TheHitandRunFail@reddit
The club member is having the bass pro credit card. If you have the credit card you can use the promo code they send out on Mondays. The promo code is not every Monday but I think it’s every Monday in May. You will have to double check that.
pauliep13@reddit
Oh ok. That I do not have.
therugpisser@reddit
They’re doing one every Mon until Memorial Day. A month or so back I got M193 @ .41 cpr in 1k on a Mon deal and used Bass points to knock them down more. Did about the same .41 or so in a 420 rd can of LC stripper clip green tip from another online (maybe Velocity?). Between both M855 and M193 LC or Winchester I can’t tell the difference.
TheHitandRunFail@reddit
This is the answer!
RickRude4@reddit
I hate this damn subreddit. Just ordered 50 boxes.
PokemonAnimar@reddit
Anyone know if that is the price in the store too or is it online only?
psychodogcat@reddit
I went a few days ago and it rang up full price so I showed the cashier the website and he changed the price to match it.
PokemonAnimar@reddit
Oh nice. Do you happen to know how long the sale will be going for?
smegma_toast@reddit
I went yesterday and they will price match to their own online price but you gotta ask them to do that
TryingNotToBreakIt@reddit
From what I have heard. Generally it is not the in store price but they'll match it. Or you could order for pickup in store
VorpalBlade-@reddit
Are the green tips forbidden from most indoor ranges? I bought 1000 rounds of these before I really knew what they were because I got a good price and had to spend a gift Card. Is this more of a ammo horde/defense Round or can I use it at the range?
Distribution_Creepy@reddit
Try outdoor ranges if you wanna shoot m855. Dirt backstops and paper targets. Indoor ranges ban it because it can cause excess wear but more importantly steel core will cause sparks and on a busy range there’s tons of unburnt powder
VorpalBlade-@reddit
Thanks for the info
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
You can get LC Winchester from velocity with ammo can and there’s a 5% code for Mother’s Day
Proman540@reddit
Is Lake City better than Winchester Green tip?
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
Both are LC in this case
Wasitchalked@reddit
Isn't velocity one of the places that jacked up their ammo prices and passed around the rumor about the LC ammo a while back?
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
Idk I honestly haven’t been buying much ammo the last 2 or so years I don’t shoot as much and got way too much but wouldn’t doubt it. I feel like a lot of places were doing that
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
“Too much”…? Never heard of it.
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
Lmao I just don’t got room
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
I’ve been there but I’m running a little low now. I’m down to 3500-4k of 5.56/.223, 3k of 6.5 Grendel, and literally like 200 rounds of 9mm. I’ll grab a couple thousand 9mm next time I find it at 20cpr or less shipped.
I’ve gotten pretty lucky by scoring some Wolf Steel Case .223 for between 25 and 30cpr a couple times on my local forum. As long as it’s sealed I’m not above stacking the hell out of it. It’s good for plinking.
Hell, I literally bought the 6.5G upper because I found 1500 rounds of Wolf 6.5, 4 - 25rd(maybe 26 or 27rd?), 2 17rd, 2 10rd mags, and a Rexus bolt for $500. Then I found another 1k of 100gr 6.5 for $320.
If I see 5.56/.223 below 40cpr I’ll grab a couple more k(Yes, it will go below 40cpr again, you bunch of goobers. The 10% increase across the board has happened. If anything, there’s just as much of a chance of it getting cheaper as there is of it getting more expensive. It’s summer time. Gun/ammo sales slow down in the summer.)
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
I’ve got about 7-8K 5.56/.223, 9-10K 5.45, 5K or so 9mm, 3K .45, 5K 7.62x39, 4K 8mm, and total I’m probably 50-60K of all calibers at this point Its insane.
I was shooting 600 rounds a week for two years but I don’t do that much anymore.
I got a lot of good deals on 9mm and really all of that stuff I would buy whenever it got posted under a certain CPR but I’ve got so much and don’t shoot enough that I can survive off this for a bit. I went crazy with 5.45 cause I saw the prices going up back in 2022 with the bans. I’ve recently bought a bunch of 8mm cause the surplus stuff is like .35 CPR still.
It’s definitely smart cause you never know when it’ll go back up and how long it’ll stay that way lol
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
That’s right. I like to play it safe too. As much as I hate to stack another caliber, 35cpr for 8mm might be cheap enough to push me over the edge.
That 5.45 you have is like $6k in value today lol.
I’m shooting between 200 and 300 a week but I’m trying to get a little smarter about the way I use my ammo. Sometimes I get stumped and just mag dump for shits and gigs. I’m sure you understand dumping a couple hundred rounds in 5-10 minutes at a silhouette steel target from 50 yard, with no real reason…I’m cutting that out, or at least limit it to a couple half-mags so I still get the mag change in.
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
Velocity definitely raised prices but almost everyone did.
Sam Gabbert at SGammo started that, we think. Atleast that’s as far back as we’ve been able to trace it.

redsox985@reddit
And that code is?
KGb_Voodo0@reddit
MOM
TheMorningDove@reddit
I’m seeing the same price for M193 which I prefer over M855 in many cases. I wouldn’t mind picking up a few hundred rounds!
TubeSockLover87@reddit
Nope.
Sketchy_M1ke@reddit
Why nope? This seems decent with the free shipping
WarlockEngineer@reddit
Green tip is kinda silly, can't use it at many ranges but it also can't pierce armor (m193 is better for that especially with long barrels)
So what is it actually good for? Idk. M855A1 is another matter but that is hard to get.
fender_blues@reddit
Don't tell that to all the guys who stocked green tip as their bugout ammo of choice.
throw2525a@reddit
Why does it say "target practice" on the box?
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
So they can sell you more steel targets
Wegobuywearer@reddit
Only in store pick up for New Jersey residents .
SuperThiccBoi2002@reddit
Thanks, had a couple of gift cards I needed to use and was looking for decent prices on green tips :)
Basic_Dependent_6226@reddit
I ordered a bunch at this price from Cabelas the other day. Good price. Placed the order at 11pm and it was delivered less than two days later.
WhirlWindBoy7@reddit
Is this lake city or just regular win?
_itsalwaysdns@reddit
I'm pretty sure all green tip is LC, whether it says Federal or Win. They both operated LC plant.
ancillarycheese@reddit
Damn I was just there yesterday.
SmknJ@reddit
How did you get it to .42 cpr? I’m getting over .60 cpr
street_sweeper_757@reddit
Looks like you have to order 20 round boxes
grayoftheday@reddit
Select just the 20rd boxes
