access to dealer auction?

Anyone know a good way to connect with a dealer for access to auctions? I'm willing to pay a fee to be able to utilize their tools.

get access to cheap cars, looking to add a new car to the fleet. willing to give TLC and repairs if necessary.
Glarmj@reddit
So instead of the dealership buying the car and then selling it to you for a profit you expect them to let you buy it directly from the auction? Also, auction prices right now are not nearly as low as you think they are.
Ok_Studio6379@reddit
bs answer, yes we want access to the market price not their jacked up sneaky fees. Go F yourselfwith them
Glarmj@reddit
I didn't mention anything about fees, I said dealer profit. Do you really think a business should make 0 profit?
Nipple_Pirate@reddit
No business is entitled to a profit

Auto Broker who can buy a SUV at Manheim auction or give me access for me
Does anyone know of a good auto service, auto broker, auto dealer in the US (Washington DC, DMV), who can buy a car at a Manheim auction and sell it to me?
I'm looking for a year-old luxury SUV (BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz etc.) i.e GVWR over 6,000 lbs (sec 179), without the dealer markup, to buy at cost + a reasonable broker or other fee (couple hundred $ total).

There are laws in place to stop individuals from accessing wholesale auctions. Why would a dealer want to give you access to their pricing and lose out on their entire profit margin?
TheTarnishedOn3@reddit (OP)
because i’d basically be paying their profit up front for access?? and they literally never had to stock the vehicle.
B5_S4@reddit
They'd be violating the auction terms of service, have no way to stop you from buying as many cars as you wanted and undercutting them, and I think you're underestimating their profit lol. I have a buddy who works for a dealer look up the auction results for a car I wanted. They had $5k in margin on a car that was listed at $10k. So if you're paying them all their overhead you're not getting a cheap car, you're just buying from a dealership with more steps.

If you are interested in salvage title vehicles some states allow private parties the ability to purchase salvage title vehicles directly at auction. Becoming a dealers agent or hiring a dealer to handle the transaction, in most circumstances becomes cost prohibitive. If you go through Coparts website they will walk you through how to buy from them as a non dealer and have recommendations for dealers who specialize in facilitating these types of transactions.
TheTarnishedOn3@reddit (OP)
i did see that copart offers a membership for individuals who do not have a license to buy, you think its worth it?
jstar77@reddit
Probably not for buying one or two cars and not if you don’t have the ability to trailer cars you buy. If you have to hire out for hauling it just won’t make financial sense.
TheTarnishedOn3@reddit (OP)
ah alright, i’ll prolly stick to private party then

If you are thinking about flipping be aware of the maximum number of vehicles you can sell in a year in your state as an individual it’s usually, between 3-5. Take into account that you will have to title the vehicle in your name and pay sales tax on the vehicle but you don’t necessarily have to register it and get tags. Look for cars that are dirty but in otherwise good condition you’d be surprised how much value giving a car a bath can add.

Do you know what you are doing, what to look for? Only worth it if you do.

There's some auction sites that make you provide an ABN to join . . . meanwhile an ABN is free to acquire . . .
