for real. Dude sounds dumb and pretentious as fuck but he's straight up having a good time. Meanwhile we sit alone and judge this fictional man behind our screens living mediocre lives where we fail to appreciate the small things that make us happy out of fear to be judged by others.

The problem, as others have said, is that he's having fun at the expense of other people. That's why they're mocking him, because he's actively ruining everyone else's good time with his snobbery and lack of awareness for how obnoxious and stupid he's coming off while achingly trying to be cool and trendy in front of people.
If you enjoy shit, enjoy shit, nobody has any right to interfere with that. Personally I like eating my cereal dry, so I just pour myself a bowl of cereal with no milk and have that for breakfast. That's my choice, but I have no right to then go to a 5 star restaurant and say 'NO, SIR, I DID NOT ASK FOR THE SIRLOIN STEAK, I ASKED FOR THE FROSTED FLAKES! AND DO NOT DARE BRING IT WITH MILK, WAIF, LEST I BE FORCED TO COMPLAIN TO YOUR MANAGER!'
At that point you're just being a rude, obnoxious killjoy that nobody wants to be around.

I think it's not even that. It's that his "happiness" is predicated on pure materialism and consumerism and his identity is formed around the act of consuming rather than anything substantial. Which would be pathetic ,but not particularly irritating in itself except for the fact that such types also tend to have the most midwit, status quo takes on everything and an unwarranted smugness to go along with it

I've known more than a couple of these sorts and I can honestly say that in being this happy, in this way, with their lives, they drain enjoyment from the lives of those around them who aren't cut from the same awful cloth.

Yes, they are man children who picks something that they identifies with being a man that takes as little effort as possible.
Hot sauce, beer (ipa) and barbequing are common tropes they pick up.
There is one level above them that are man children who wish to put in work in order to be more manly and they go steroid and gym route while listening to manosphere pod casters.
