As a millennial, I hate how annoying and entitled millennials are. They act like all boomers are rich and they sucked up all the wealth. Most boomers are flat broke. They have no retirements or 401k. They were promised pensions that probably never came through. None of them invested because they were poorly educated. The only leg up they had was having good jobs with no education or prior experience required. Entry level was a comfortable pay. Other than that, they had no plot to take over the world. They just bought too much stupid shit in the moment, and had no care to invest.
I agree that getting mad at different generations is fucking stupid, but the ruling class has created a system where crime is legal for them and they don't let anyone else into their club, while continuing to extract what wealth is left in the lower classes.
It's worse for us and it's looking worse for gen z. Gen z seems like they're checking out entirely. Where Millennials had the fear of God at work, that getting fired and losing your livelihood seems like you'll lose everything. There's so many stories of gen z who can't afford to live on the minimum wage student jobs and are checking out.
Gen Z ain't trying because some crazy statistic like 75% of them are aspiring to be social media influencers. There are good jobs, but they don't want a J OMEGALUL B
Oh yeah I'd legitimately forgotten about that. That made me sad.
I do think it's 2 things though, I do thick that a significant chunk of gen z feel the doom and gloom hopelessness, but you're absolutely right that far too many of them are trying to be the next big thing on social media. Shit sucks
