To help Del-ton we purchased all of their remaining Magpul inventory and we're blowing it out! All new in old packaging or bagged. Lots of inventory to choose from!

What else did you all buy from them?
jsesurplus@reddit (OP)
All of their remaining barrel inventory. We still have 15 more pallets to check in.

Any of them dissipator uppers?
jsesurplus@reddit (OP)
No dissipator uppers but we got the barrels

I don't need a dissy... I don't need it...
throwaway698911@reddit
Snu chance you'll have more hunter x-22 stocks on those pallets?
CrastersBastards@reddit
Same
dovahbe4r@reddit
15 PALLETS? I’m gonna have to check in over the next few weeks, lol. Y’all are great.
LiberalLamps@reddit
I'm surprised they had so much left, their website only had a few configurations listed at the end. Hoping for some non-F chrome lined barrels.
SPstandsFor@reddit
Any 12.5 government profile in that batch? Need one for a Gordon build anyways and you're a real one for buying out their stock.
crazykansaskid@reddit
15 pallets? Bro how did we not get an invite to this party? Bro is straight up a vulture out here 😂
momsaidbesafe@reddit
This the real question
FuckingSeaWarrior@reddit
In for a stock and a grip. I didn't see it, but what's the difference between the fixed stock and the one labeled "Bagged"?
knoxknifebroker@reddit
"to help Del-ton" you a real one for that
jmike3543@reddit
You don’t actually buy that right? They’re a business making money
SillyBilly36@reddit
I’m confused. We don’t like when people on the sub buy shit to resell at higher cost, but when companies do it, it’s cool and just business?
rottencore7@reddit
That's literally how you stay in business lmao. How hard is this for you to grasp? A normal person buying to resell doesn't need to do so to keep their business afloat. A business quite literally needs to sell things for higher cost than they bought, or they lose money lmao. Simple economics
SillyBilly36@reddit
Yup you’re right 👍🏻
joman8390@reddit
I think he means to help himself…he’s selling the stocks for 50+% more than del ton was when they were blowing them out on their site. For example CTR and SL stocks were $30 and STR and ACS were $35.
Subverto_@reddit
Well that's super scummy if true.
jsesurplus@reddit (OP)
We don't know what they were selling this stuff for as we buy direct from Magpul for our inventory. All we know is what we paid for it. Its not true... we're selling them with a few dollar mark up on what they were sold to us for. Del-ton reached out to us for help.
joman8390@reddit
Seems odd that Delton would sell the entire lot to you at higher prices then they were selling individual items for to the public on their site…
SPPY@reddit
Seems odd you’d have any idea what you’re talking about.
SillyBilly36@reddit
I’m confused. We don’t like when people on the sub buy shit to resell at higher cost, but when companies do it, it’s cool and just business?
SPPY@reddit
Well, that’s basically how business works. Nailed it. Del-ton apparently reached out to them and it was in Del-ton’s best interest to off load all their inventory at once rather than sending out a thousand small packages. You’re acting like this is scalping. It’s not.
SillyBilly36@reddit
What’s the difference between this and scalping?
Jsesurplus isn’t doing this from the bottom of their heart, no matter how they try to twist it. They are trying to make money by buying up all the product available commercially and reselling at a higher price to get their beak wet.
Previous_Composer934@reddit
there's nothing wrong with scalping. that's how businesses work. buy low. sell high
SillyBilly36@reddit
Some business create value through products or services.
Some business harvest value by being middlemen and adding no value.
Everyone hates on Charlie’s clones for doing it, yet they’re just a “business”
Previous_Composer934@reddit
buying dozens of pallets of product and sorting and shipping them to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to access the products does add value
this isn't bread or milk. you're not going to die if you don't buy it
SillyBilly36@reddit
They would have been accessible for a longer period of time at a lower price, sorted, and shipped to you if they weren’t bought up and flipped. That’s why I’m saying they didn’t add value.
And I didn’t buy, wouldn’t buy at a lower price cause I don’t need them, as I ordered from Delton.
Previous_Composer934@reddit
they weren't "bought up" to scalp like you think. The initial seller at the lower price was tired of dealing with it and reached out to jse
Jse had to pay up front tens of thousands of dollars for the parts and shipping for dozens of pallets and then pay his employees to sort through the stuff. Yes the price is higher now because jse is a business and not a charity. if you wanted the lower price you had plenty of opportunity to buy
SillyBilly36@reddit
😂 I did!
diprivanity@reddit
You are comparing an inflated collector's market to run of the mill magpul furniture lmao
SillyBilly36@reddit
I mentioned this earlier, but just because one is more egregious than the other doesn’t mean they both aren’t the same thing. Companies buying products commercially available at a lower price and reselling them at a markup when those items are no longer at the lower prices.
If I did this I would be shit on unless of course I say “I’m a business, it’s just business”?
diprivanity@reddit
So you are conflating a business doing business and guys selling second hand gear to other guys in the hobby. They are clearly not the same.
But for what it's worth, if you buy a bundle of something priced to sell and turn around and split the items up and can sit on the items long enough for them to sell at a higher price, I don't think that's scummy. The seller is happy with the price, the buyer is happy with the price. Now it's the buyer's property. No one is entitled to the theoretical deal that existed if there wasn't a buyer. It's just the market babes. I've sold a bunch of shit on gafs to see it split up and net an extra couple hundred bucks. I dgaf because yes I could have also done that, but I had other factors that made liquidity now more valuable than potential higher profit later.
SillyBilly36@reddit
I agree. I just don’t feel that applies to this situation. You could try to make that apply to scalpers and KAC parts too, but at the end of the day they are buying something at a low price, waiting a short time till it’s not available at that low price, and then selling to profit. Some might find value in that and say that they made it available and they wouldn’t have been able to purchase otherwise.
diprivanity@reddit
Again KAC prices are collector prices. There isn't anything they offer that doesn't have a functional equivalent from another company. And I have spent legitimately retarded amounts of money for old kac parts that don't do anything a Larue product 1/20th the cost does. It's just perceived value and whatever autist happens to be flush with cash at the moment.
SillyBilly36@reddit
I’m sorry, I was trying to say your argument could be applied to KAC prices. Not trying to further my own argument. As in they get a MK12 rail for 450, it’s no longer in stock and available at that price so flippers can charge more. Because we are not entitled to that lower price. It’s just the market babes. You’re right, we aren’t entitled to that price and must pay what the market demands if we want it, however that person is only trying to make a quick buck and its generally frowned upon. (or at least I thought! Haha)
SPPY@reddit
Yeah….again that’s business. They didn’t buy it all off of Delton’s website to flip. Sounds like they’re doing their friends a solid - and still making money, which they have to do because they’re a business not a charity.
Scalping would be you buying all this up off of Delton and reselling it in GAFS. I wouldn’t even call that scalping unless it was shit so desirable you could mark it waaaay up. This basic Magpul stuff is barely marked up and still sold at a huge discount. It’s still a good deal for us buyers.
SillyBilly36@reddit
Brother us “buyers” would have been better off if they didn’t buy it all up though because they literally are just flipping it at a higher price. Just because they didn’t use the official “website” to purchase doesn’t mean it’s not “flipping/scalping”
Honestly, they probably even got a bulk discount and got them cheaper than the public and are making even more money off the stocks. But by all means keep dumping for a company that’s ripping you off because it’s just a few bucks and not that bad.
diprivanity@reddit
You are operating under this silly notion that the Delton price was going to be there forever. It's a blowout the whole point is to short term move inventory and clear your books. DT probably does not have the manpower to make it worth selling $10 this and that for weeks. They can offload an entire catalog at near break even cost and their liquidator can still make a little volume profit.
You're making it sound like some conspiracy to scalp lol. This thread just reeks of entitlement.
SillyBilly36@reddit
Of course it wouldn’t last forever, it ended early though because someone bought up all the stocks to resell at a higher price.
diprivanity@reddit
Yeah the DT low price is the get this off my books now price. They are trading losing out on potential value for time and logistical simplicity. And, again, if you're at that point of liquidation getting all that stuff off your books is extremely valuable.
So the factors that drove the initial DT prices down do not exist for a company staying open. Right? Make sense?
The $30 ctr is not a deal you are entitled to, it's an ohshitohfuck price. Even at $35 it's cheaper than used on gafs. Like why would a business buy the whole lot at a wholesale price and turn around and price it like they're going out of business? Makes zero sense. They also buy at wholesale from the manufacturer and list it for more. Do you feel entitled to dealer volume pricing as well? Or are you just bitching about only saving $14 instead of $19 on a readily available, not remotely scalpable stock?
SillyBilly36@reddit
I don’t feel entitled to that price? I wouldnt even purchase at that price? I’m saying it’s poor behavior on the part of the company especially to imply they are helping people out when it was just a business decision.
SPPY@reddit
Who cares what the “buyers” are better off with? You’re not entitled to whatever deep discount you want. These are still super discounted for crying out loud.
Here’s the dictionary definition of scalping: INFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN resell (shares or tickets) at a large or quick profit. "tickets were scalped for forty times their face value".
Pretty sure selling tiny magpul parts at a discount is neither a large or quick profit. Sounds like a real pain in the ass actually.
If you ever consider going into business for yourself, don’t.
SillyBilly36@reddit
You brought up the buyers and how it was good for them?
The definition you provided outright says it doesn’t have to be “large” proving my point….
I don’t feel I’m entitled to the price, I wouldn’t even purchase at the lower prices? I don’t need them.
I’m simply saying this is poor behavior on the part of the company, especially to imply they are doing this to help others when it is simply a business move.
joman8390@reddit
It is, the deal was posted on here around the 1st of February. A couple days later all the inventory disappeared, we now know where it went, apparently they figured we’d forget if they waited a few months before reselling with the jacked up prices.
Inner_Honey_978@reddit
Not so keen on the free market, huh?
mynewaccount5@reddit
If anything it's scummy that Delton would reach out to another company for help, and charge a markup effectively undercutting that company.
jmike3543@reddit
It’s just business

Only partially agree....it's a big number (50%) but there is risk and cost on acquiring inventory then one is I'm business to generate a profit.
SillyBilly36@reddit
Yup, I had to go back and check my old receipt. I got the milspec CTR for 30 flat.
EricTheCleric93@reddit
Maybe that's why Del-ton needs the help. Prices were too low.
Cypa@reddit
Guys being dudes
Niccom@reddit
Anymore CTR FDE milspec in stock? One listing shows 45 the one on sale shows none

_jB_@reddit
In for some stocks and grips, thanks OP
Berry_Micockiner@reddit
I see the CTR stock is not part of this deal
richiecotite@reddit
Ctr’s are between 38-39 bucks, that’s a very good price on that stock.
redditshopping00@reddit
does the mp odg actually look good in real life? the afg odg looks horrible in the stock photo but I'd be putting it with a m81 sling, so maybe green would work...?
SerOstrich@reddit
NOOOO I MISSED THE RANGER PLATES
DetroitJason@reddit
For those not super familiar with the AR platform, just make sure you aren’t buying those “commercial” spec stocks to fit on Milspec buffer tubes.
Haven’t seen commercial stocks in years.
jsesurplus@reddit (OP)
We have added a suggested "frequently bought together" referenced on those pages in hopes the purchaser would catch that info if they didn't read the pr. ;)
TheCrimsonChin-ger@reddit
One of my lowers still has a commercial tube on it but honestly I'm too lazy to swap it out. I already have a magpul ctr on it.
UgliestCookie@reddit
When I bought a bunch from Del-Ton a few months back, they (Del-ton) graciously included commercial tubes with all of them as part of the package deal, which was pretty rad. Still felt weird taking perfectly good mil-spec tubes off and putting commercial right back on. My spare buffer tube mountain continues to grow.
InvaderDJ@reddit
Was hoping for a bipod so I could sight in my first optic, but I'm still in for an AFG.
jsesurplus@reddit (OP)
We definitely stock the bipods from Magpul just not included in this sale.
