Calorie counting Brits, how do you estimate how many calories are in your local fish and chips?

I know I know if your being healthy don't eat fish and chips but we are all British here and know it ain't that easy. So other take aways like dominos and Maccies will have calorie counts online but fish and chip shops are just a mystery to me.
