Hey guys first time posting here. I've recently placed an order on Newegg for a new am5 build . I'll post the hardware specifically below but I was just looking for a general idea on what to expect on installation/ performance .
I've went through 3 prebuilts in 2 and a half months so I decided to just build my own.

I think that's everything . Thanks in advance !

should've gone for 32gigs ram but a X series motherboard. so that when you get some extra money in the future, you can upgrade to a higher x32 cpu. but otherwise its all good. might wanna upgrade the power supply later on too.

I know my thread is old now but rather than 4 16gb sticks I went with two. So I've 32gb ddr5 @6000
It's been a year since the build and it's been quite the powerhouse with the lineup of games I play.
Have had zero issues and just cleaned it out at work .
This is a solid 1440p build .

Awesome possum

It's all compatible.
Without prices, can't say if it's a good deal or not.
You probably could've saved a little money with a larger thermlaright phantom spirit cpu cooler instead, but it's not a big differnce.
An ATX 3.1 PCIE 5.1 psu would've been better for the 5060 ti. CORSAIR RM750e, for example, is more powerful and the same price as the msi you chose on newegg.

Well all together it was about 1383. I believe I was 1100 into a pre-built. I paid five 40 something and $15 shipping for the 5060ti 16gb. I can't quite remember the other prices off the top of my head as I posted this on my lunch break. I'll circle back to this once I'm off.

For the RAM, you got two 2x16GB kits of 6000 MT/s?
The likely hood of four sticks running at 6000 MT/s on an AM5 CPU is very low. 5600 MT/s is the realistic limit for most CPUs, and that's with a matched 4 stick kit. Running two separate kits, even if they're "identical", reduces the chance of getting 5600 and 5200 or even 4800 may be the best you'll get.
For a gaming system, you want no more than two sticks of RAM. If this isn't for gaming, leave EXPO off in the BIOS and let the RAM run at their base speed and it should work fine. Most non-gaming workloads see very minimal benefit from faster RAM.

I decided to sell the other set as I think 32gb will suffice for now.

So update. After assembling everything and enabling XMP my memory is at 6000 and everything powered on successfully first time.
I only had to go back to plug in my case USB-C as I overlooked it.
Installed windows and verified it is indeed running at 6000!
Thanks for your advicein regards to using the other set .

I currently have a 32gb set of Corsair already and then I ended up with another set as a result of choosing to combo items etc.
Wasn't sure if I would need the extra 32gb and I wasn't sure if 6000 was attainable or not either. So considering selling the extra set as I game . EFT, Star citizen , BeamNG drive , Bg3 and KCD2. Play in 1440

Render resolution is (mostly) irrelevant when it comes to how much system RAM you'll end up using. Resolution and quality settings affect VRAM only.
The vast majority of games today don't need more than 16GB, and the main reason why 2x16GB is recommended is due to performance implications with DDR5 and using 2x8GB or 1x16GB is often slower than 2x16GB even when you don't need 32GB. The only games that need more than 16GB are when people often use a lot of mods, like with Skyrim. And in that case some people somehow manage to push past even 32GB somehow. Memory requirements for modded games are essentially unbounded and only limited by how many mods you turn on. So the sky(rim) is the limit!
* cough *
So, yes, you should probably sell the extra 32GB kit. Though maybe wait until you have the system all setup in case the kit you got with the bundle has a faulty stick.

I really appreciate your input. That's most likely what I'll do.
tybuzz@reddit
Hopefully you bought the 16 gb version of the 5060 ti.
Forsaken-Flow-5583@reddit (OP)
I did ! I order that separately from B&H.
tybuzz@reddit
Excellent. They shouldn't be making any 8 gb GPUs at this point, imo, lol.
