Gently soften in microwave. Don't walk away. 5 seconds at a time.

Here’s the issue with this plan. The cream cheese comes in a foil wrapping which can’t go in the microwave, so I’d have to take it out & get another plate dirty to warm it up that way. Not ideal for a quick snack.

I like them plain! Nice & simple. :)

Just use the same plate as you’re going to use for your sandwich. Do it all the time with my bagels.

There's nothing wrong with a cucumber sandwich. A little salt and pepper and maybe a dressing go a long way. The bread doesn't look great, but it might be amazing for all I know. That cuke looks nice and crisp though.

Just plain white bread, it was a new loaf though, so plenty soft. I like my cucumber sandies pretty plain so I find white bread ideal. Less so once it’s been torn to shreds but hey, it tasted fine.
