Did anyone backup a copy of the complete User Friendly comics they seem to be gone ?

I know not a traditional Linux question, but it was a big part of the early community.
The site is gone it seems due to age and hosting costs.
Curious if anyone saved it or outside of the wayback machine, its lost to history .

Absolutely loved that series. I was working tech support at the time, so the idea of telling users to put "USER = ID10T" into their config file, as a warning to other techies, appealed strongly to me...
It was great to be able to ease some frustration by reading a comic in which people got away with saying things you couldn't... it's also why Bastard Operator From Hell (BOFH) was so popular in tech circles.

Best Internet cartoon ever.

All 5644 of them - install Mcomix as the default for .cbz and you'll be laughing

I didn't even know it was gone until today, I was just trying to look up a comic to screw with my friend from the time Erwin got Windows installed on him.

Heh that sounds like a nice place for nerds to meet.
....sadly lots of catfishers I presume.
They can't all look like Ashley Judd.

It was so obscure and this was back in 2000 when the web was still pretty immature.

I miss that site. Used to visit every day. I bought a graphic T-shirt from them that was really well done, not sure what happened to it.

If you don't know already, there's a nice sub called /r/DataHoarder maybe people there can help you restore such treasure.

You can still buy the printed books. I always made sure "Evil Geniuses in a nutshell" is visible in my bookshelf when doing teams calls.

The amount of times I've seen or used them the past few months...
It's like Wikipedia. Next time I have money, I'm donating to the project. Life would suck with them.
