Is it Impossible to become an Air Traffic Controller now?

I think only NATS offer the training and pathway to become one, but doesn’t look like they are hiring. How does one even become an ATC in the UK?

Join the navy or RAF get qualified then get a job on civvie street

Didn't really work, as you'll need to retrain for civil anyway
