What products are the wrong size - which ever option you choose?

I am still really annoyed with NEFF for managing to somehow make their new model of oven worse than the old one. I had a slide & hide integrated oven installed in 2010; it finally died back in March this year after just under 15 years’ faithful service. After a little pondering we decided to throw caution to the wind and just buy a newer version, because we knew it would fit, it had the same inside dimensions and functionality (plus new ones), and I’ve never real had a problem with the old oven apart from one replacement element a few years ago. Plus our kitchen is so narrow that the slide & hide door is almost a necessity. New oven arrived, all bells and whistles, great. Until I needed to use it for my two largest oven trays at once, about a week after we got it. They now don’t fit, even though they did in the old one (plus a third oven tray which is almost as big). Two reasons for this: inexplicable placement/spacing of the oven rack side housings, and the fact that the oven racks themselves now have a completely redundant - and frankly outright *unhelpful* - dip in them which shortens the width by nearly two inches. The old racks were flat, as they should be. You slid them in to the rack housings and they gave you pretty much the whole width of the oven. The new ones slide in but they then curve/dip downwards at about an inch in on each side, losing you two inches of oven width. Fucking ridiculous. My biggest oven trays are almost as wide as the oven itself, so they do not fit on the stupid racks. Plus the crazy rack housing placement means that there isn’t enough height/gap between the racks, as my trays are fairly tall (5cm or so). I even removed the silly slide-out contraption they had on one of the shelves which allowed you to extend the rack partially outside the oven because I thought that would help. It didn’t. *Luckily* I’d had the foresight to keep the old racks from my broken oven, which I managed to put in the new oven (after a tiny bit of forceful wiggling because - naturally - the rack housings are a little different). However, due to the stupid placing of the rack housings, I still can’t figure out how to get all three of my biggest oven trays in the oven at once, despite juggling all the possible configurations. Plus my old racks look crappy against the shiny new oven hardware. Plus the door doesn’t fully ‘hide’ (that might have been our fault though, because of the particular model we chose). Oh, and the timer ‘beep’ is now so quiet and pathetic that it is functionally useless because I can’t hear it unless I’m standing within 3 feet of the oven. 850 fucking quid! Yes, we’re clearly mugs. I would say ‘lesson learnt’ but I’m sure we’ll outdo ourselves at some point with something else.
