This is how I was able to get myself some internet during blackout in Spain.
Vodafone fibra, el Campello.
I'm not even sure how vodafone lasted that long.

Good idea! 👍

I've this baby that helped me to connect the WiFi router and also to take a shower during the Spanish blackout, the water heater work with natural gas but the starter is electric so I connected it to my battery. It has 100.000ma of capacity, 12v, 5v and 220v outputs 300w max.

I left my ecoflow delta in Ukraine. Didn't thought I'm going to need it here, lol. Now I'm thinking to bring it here.

I see you used the box for " imagination". Good job SpongeBob

After you get yourself sorted, you really should consider making a video oh how to make and use this setup.I think alot of people would benefit from it.

You really think it might be helpful?

Knowledge is power!!!

So, what are we looking at here? I see a battery bank with some spare batteries. I see a wifi router and some kind of other box. What is this and how did you do it?

Wasn't sure that this setup will get so many attention.
So the major requirement is to have passive fibre optic internet.
In order to supply converter and router with 12V I'm using special cable which forces power bank with PD feature to switch to 12V. There are plenty of them on ali, you can usually find this by keywords like: type-c pd router 12v cable. I brought one from Ukraine, so it's just coincidence.
The second thing you need is power bank with PD which can switch to 12V, the one on photo is the only one I have which can do this and also I happened to have some spare 18650 elements.
That's it: PD power bank, type-c to DC cable, Y-splitter.

What is special PD powerbank ? And this is assuming that the IP has power as well. Wouldn’t starlink or EUsilat be more efficient? That is also assuming that starlink or EUsilat decides to keep the services active

PD powerbanks can switch to 12V, so all this cable does is to trick powerbanks to switch to 12V.
No electronics, no voltage converters inside.Â
Otherwise you would need 5V to 12V converter, but the current might be way too high for powerbanks.
Other quick and dirty solution is 12V power tools accumulator.
My DeVolt drill battery used to power my internet for 6 hours and sice it's lithium it charges quickly.Â
Starling requires around 60W of power, so you going to really need some large battery, like ecoflow or kind of

Now that you're back to having power, you might want to get a UPS for your router. I think it would save you some trouble in the future.

I left all my backup power stuff in Ukraine, lol. I was sure I'm not going to need it here

3/10.
GET IT OFF THE FLOOR.

This is an emergency setup I created within an hour from random stuff I found at home. Also, someone decided to put fibre optic input right behind the couch, so I'm a bit limited. My main router was in the opposite side but I had to bring it closerÂ

Nice job!
Those floor and door sound familiar. Juan XXIII bu any chance?

Thanks, but honestly not sure what do you mean. Is this a building name?
Fluid_Pollution_2257@reddit
Yes, but I see it is not yours now. I used to live there some years ago.
