Elantra N vs GR Corolla

Thing is I have an Audi S3 right now that's quite old, looking at cars myself. The main thing I see is that a good Elantra N used is SUPER cheap. A GR Corolla is expensive af used. The AWD system in the GR Corolla isn't the best. If I decided to track either car the Elantra would be good out of the box, i'd have to "fix" the GR which is ironically supposed to be a track car. AWD has worse MPG than FWD. Both cars, inside, are roughly equivalent. The Elantra is larger. Replacing the engine of the Elantra is cheaper. Toyota's warranty, service, and quality is much better. Hyundai is cheaper in every way. GR Corolla is high 30s to $40k used for less than 15k miles. Elantra N i've seen as low as $25k with same miles. GR Corolla if you get a circuit or better is a collectible car. It WILL be worth money in 20 years. I think it works best as a 2nd vehicle sunday driver you only use for like Autocross or something. Ironically an Elantra N is better at that, just won't hold the value. Don't buy an Elantra N new. They seem to COLLAPSE in value. So get a deal on a used one. GR Corolla go either way. If you don't care about warranty and you buy the Elantra N you can save $1000s for mods or budget for track consumables.
