Approximately how thick are male/female Humpback whale pectoral fins?

Good Day,
I am making a model of a Humpback whale and I am having trouble figuring out approximately how thick a Humpback whales pectoral fins are?
I have all the dimensions for the body size fairly well scaled in relation to other parts on the Humpback whale model, however I can not figure out if I support the pectoral "flippers" to the extent I want to, would it be too thick and out of proportion.
I still have to wrap everything in paper mache and a few other layers and I don't want to make it absurdly thick pectoral fins by adding two more layers of foam board.
I've tried searching some relevant terms and I just can not get the dimensions.
I have length and width fairly proportional to the body and tale, thickness of the pectoral fins is a big mystery to me.
So in an adult male or female Humpback whale, how thick are the pectoral fins?
Thank you.

Does this help? https://www.instructables.com/Humpback-Whales/ It made the pectoral fins separate

Gesso also holds paint really well, it's common to use it to prime a canvas for painting :)
