I used to love salt and vinegar Pringles. They actually had flavour once. Now they taste like someone whispered “vinegar” near the factory in 2008 and then set the recipe on fire. I guess they’ve saved 1p a tube in the grand tradition of enshittification.

I've been buying the Iceland (and in a few other places) version they get cus they're significantly cheaper. Pop-Tastic! is the brand. I needed a mini pringles tub, so I bought a tub and was reminded how disappointing pringles were compared to the ones I buy now. A quid usually for the mini rolls (3 pack), and a quid usually for the full size tub. And they have tortilla ones which are so much nicer with a dip than pringles are. The price rocketed on pringles, and quality dropped.

Yes, but not by a huge margin. Truth is, pringles have always been pretty shit. One thing that is genuinely terrible now are fruit pastilles (and fruit gums, and wine gums. Basically all rowntrees stuff). They're so soft, the texture has completely changed as the sugar they use is larger and barely whispered onto the sweet, and the taste is that of something that claims to be "all natural" (ie, weak as fuck)

Idk man I can literally down a whole tube of Pringles in 10min if they're fresh and airy, the ones which get all crunchy feel like they've already gone stale. Yes it is definitely a change but personally I don't mind too much The worst is when you get a batch which has clearly skimped on flavouring and they just taste bland af. Also Pringles have undoubtedly undergone shrinkflation, I saw it in my local Tescos where the 185g was now 165g for the same price

Things do change for the worst though - companies have been using cheaper ingredients to cut costs and it's clearly noticeable to people. Just because you can't tell something has changed doesn't mean it hasnt.

I used to get Pringles rarely as a kid because they were expensive junk food so they always seemed amazing. I ate LOADS when I grew up and they're definitely worse now. They're just...crumbly. It's one thing I didn't mind losing when I found out I had coeliac disease 🤣
