I went back and played Chip's Challenge again recently. It was so much harder than I remember, that is definitely a young man's game. TriPeaks and FreeCell are more my speed now.

Minesweeper and Tetris. My dad used to be obsessed with FreeCell. We also both loved Space Cadet Pinball. I also still sometimes play Scrabble Blast online which is like Scabble meets Minesweeper. My school's computers for a while had Tetris Worlds which had background artwork from Roger Dean.

I would play on hard and about 1/2 the time get to the point where you had to guess. The worst is when you had to guess multiple times and get the first one or two right then guess wrong.

I used to play this game called inner space. It was a spaceship game that took place inside your computer. The game scanned your files names and they were included in the game and you had to fly around and shoot at them. It was wild and I don’t remember anyone else ever playing it but I loved that game so much

It wasn't my favorite per se but there was something intoxicating about Life Genesis. I wasn't mature or mathematically inclined enough to try to work out an actual self-duplicating system, but I loved drawing some pixel art and watching it explode into chaos, only to have it reduced to a couple tiny wiggling machines at the end.

I got this on floppy somewhere, sometime I don't remember. I probably installed it on a dozen different computers over the years, some of them mine, some at workplaces. At least until they made a version of Windows that no longer supported it. I played predominantly Tetris, Pipe Dream, JezzBall, and Taipei.

I had about 1/2 of these games as I only had Volume 1, but some of these games came on Verbatim floppy disks that had 10 blank disks plus a bonus game disk.
When I was multitasking I’d play a card game like Cruel, Freecell, or Golf. If I wanted to rack my brain I’d play Pegged or Klotski. However Jezzball was my favorite of these as I would play many times in a row and got a pretty high score.
