First Impressions on Allant + 8S

I just had my first day with my Trek Allant + 8S (2023) model I got form Red Barn. My Previous bike was a 1993 Trek 930 SingleTrack with Aluminum fenders and rack, an OG Swytch Bike kit, and some nice Kenda Cross tires (Original Shimano hardware). It was unfortunately stolen during an apartment complex break in a year and a half ago.
It's crazy how much nicer the Bosch eletrical system is over the Swytch kit. It feels more what I image a plug in car to be like than an ebike. Pedal assist is great. Most of the time I'll probably leave it in Mode 2. I didn't realize the 8S would be so... big but that's good for me as a 309lb rider using this to commute 10ish minutes to work and back, and for recreation/fitness as well.
I realize I'm on the limit of the recommended weight class so I'm probably going to do at least a yearly once over at my local bike shop.
I'm picking up an Airtag tomorrow to lock in with the battery as there some space in the battery tube compartment.
It is registered on Trekbikes.com and I am paying for insurance as I really can't have this bike stolen :,)
I have a beefy Abus chain and disc lock when I'm out an about so that's a comfort at least.
Any recommendations from fellow owners or bigger riders trying to slim down? I'd love to get to 200 eventually.

Consider 529 Garage in addition to Trek's registration. For weight loss, diet is key; r/CICO is a good start. Maintain tire pressure!
