Which areas in the UK have the most descendants of ex-Londoners?

From what I see, it’s very common to come across someone who was born and raised in the Cotswold or Surrey to have parents who grew up in the West End of London, and in Essex it’s filled with descendants of old school Cockneys, any other areas in the UK has this ‘London back in the 20th century’ culture?

Andover and Cosham (Portsmouth) are populated with descendants of the London slums when they were demolished.
Both places are kinda “special”.

North Kent. West/southern Essex

They moved to the closest county in the biggest number. So Cockneys specifically I would say Essex, South Londoners moved to Kent and Surrey etc

The dumping ground, they punted families over that way out of barking, dagenham and then pretty much abandoned the place, sad state of affairs

By any other definition it would be gentrification displacement

Lincolnshire ? Hear me out.
I grew up in Lincs and loads of my friends there came from the London area.

If I take it from friends, lots of the lads have moved to Yorkshire recently as it's far cheaper and actually quite nice.

I suspect Milton Keynes because it was primarily built as an overspill development for people from London moving out. Basingstoke, Crawley, Basildon, Harlow, Northampton, Corby and Peterborough will probably have a lot of descendants as well.

Margate.

Tons of Londoners escaped to Leeds Uni in my time (I was one of them)

Manchester is pretty much mini London now . Most of my area in south Manchester Is full of Londoners who have moved here due to the cheaper cost of living. It’s rare to hear a northern accent in my area.

Anywhere with docks, people migrated to them when the London docks closed. Portsmouth 'Pompey' accent is very Cockney sounding.

In the south east and Home Counties it’s very common. I am a Londoner and have extended family in Essex, Kent, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. I am the only one in my family who still lives in London.

New Towns Plan 1950s towns. Some areas of Hemel Hempstead still had London accents on the kids in the 1980s and 90s

People often move out to the part of the countryside nearest to them. My grandad grew up in North London and moved to Hertfordshire. Cockneys moved to Essex. Lots of West London move to Berkshire, Hampshire and Essex (myself included as a kid).

The post-WWII new towns in SE England. They were built to rehouse the bombed out population of London

Portsmouth and Basingstoke. Also Basildon.

Places like Brighton or the West Country have a lot these days. The former is for the commuters, while the latter is for those who work from home and moved down here during the pandemic.
holytriplem@reddit
Surely Milton Keynes?
terahurts@reddit
Peterborough had a large influx of Londoners in the 80s when it was going through it's New Town expansion.

Pretty well everywhere in England, especially rural areas and the smaller towns, has a London diaspora.

Brighton.

I'm a northerner in a relationship with a southerner from Basingstoke. Basingstoke is just London overspill. Probably just look at towns and cities within an hour of zone 7.
