Second battery installed on an Amyet g60

Now rocking a dual 48v setup with 45ah of power supply. The little blue box houses the parallel connector and xt60 connections. I had to remove the rear tag/light bracket to fit the battery, so the tail light is attached to the fender for now.. might eventually reattach it to the back seat bar. This is as clean looking as I could get it, what do you guys think?

Was this a custom job or was the bike made for this?

I custom modified it. I’m sure someone else would have done a different battery, or attached it with a rear carrier or something but I wanted to keep it clean and not add too much extra weight/hardware to the overall design. I attached the battery using a steel plate which is bolted under the seat frame. This allowed for less weight than a rack/basket on the back or going with a smaller battery.

How about the wiring? Do you have a switch to control which battery is in use?

Does it draw power from each battery equally or do you run one out and switch to the second ?

I can have both running or switch from one to the other. Typically I run one at a time because they are both 48v so it’s not drawing too much power, but it does run perfectly fine on both paralleled running at the same time.

Looks good. Having it under your seat with suspension tho is f

I thought about that before mounting it there but I didn’t have many options..so far It has not rubbed, hit or anything. I might weld a guard behind it on the rear bar so I can reattach the tail light closer to the seat frame.
