It has to do with top billing. It implies that the Swayz is the actor that’s going to be the biggest draw (most important) to the film.

It harkens to the studio system era of films.

The final scene is supposed to Bells Beach in Australia but was filmed at Indian Beach at Ecola State Park in Oregon (where I used to surf occasionally)—although they intercut it with scenes of big wave surfing at Waimea Bay on Oahu. It’s kind of funny for me to watch that last scene with the fake Aussie cops.
