Did my Erasmus in Budapest last year, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Took the opportunity to shoot a lot of footage around the city - Hope you enjoy

The cinematography, the angles, the lighting… this is breathtaking wow 🤯 I live here but I wanna live in this videos version 🙃

This is easily the best video of Budapest I have ever seen. Great work! I was born here and I live here - but there are some POVs I havent seen before.

Omg this so beautiful 😭 Reminds me of when I first stepped into this city… My home now for 5 years 🥹
Thank you for this gem!! Great job 💯

Dude, please contact the national travel agency, this should be the official image-movie for BP
marques_brown@reddit
I did my Erasmus there as well, man I love this city so much!! Great Footage 🙏🏻
VadPuma@reddit
A beautiful city tarnished by the national politics.
Describes more than a few cities these days.
Great video though!! Kudos!!

Love it

I am not Hungarian, but I'd be proud of this video done by a foreigner, especially Erasmus student (who among tourists turned Budapest to something else). It is very respectful and insightful the way you presented one of the greatest European cities in my opinion.
No clichés, parties, tourist traps... Personally I don't like this kind of overused music, but it is well synchronised.
JtheLeon@reddit
Very well done! You captured the vibe and feeling of the city.
keplegenny@reddit
If you did this for fun, just hear me out you are talented. Otherwise I’d like to point out, that you should go deeper once you come back, Budapest doesn’t ends with the instagram compatible scenery, visit the poor parts, it’s crazy
Cyper222@reddit
Nicely done m8
plant_gen@reddit
Wow man you made a masterpiece, I had been to Budapest once I liked it a lot.

This is awesome!!

Great shots! Gave me terrible FOMO too 😄.
Do you mind sharing the camera?
TobyTheSalvator@reddit (OP)
I filmed using a Sony a7siii camera
HaOrbanMaradEnMegyek@reddit
And the lens please, that's more important :)
TobyTheSalvator@reddit (OP)
I used the Sony 24-70 f2.8 GM II and Sony 14 f1.8. Could definitely be done with much cheaper gear tho, and the 14mm has crazy focus breathing, so honestly can’t recommend that one
HaOrbanMaradEnMegyek@reddit
Very nice lenses! I just bought a barely used Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 and just tried it out for the first time. Can't wait to try it out in the city centre just like you. I just need an ND filter before.
MyApocalypses@reddit
I absolutely adore this. You did an amazing job capturing Budapest. I can’t wait to go back home♥️
AntalRyder@reddit
Wow, there are some seriously great shots in there! Great job man, glad you enjoyed your stay!

What's an erasmus???
malahun@reddit
It is a program where people can enroll abroad at universities to get BA or MA degree
AdamKissAK1337@reddit
What software for editing ? Only color corection or some fancier things ? Very nice shots
0xde1e7e@reddit
Nice shots and good editing! Well done!
PS: why on Earth a random erasmus student creates better clip about the city than the fucking government controlled travel office? Fuck them! Great job! Appriciate your work!
All996@reddit
Stunning! Thank you very much and I am very happy you have enjoyed your stay!
Weakbecomeherooees@reddit
Man, I miss Budapest. Great vid tho!
Eva-in-Heels@reddit
Nice work 😊 What camera did you use?
lifeispreciusdesune@reddit
if im not mistaken this looks like the work of Sony a7siii
TameTheAuroch@reddit
Very nice footage, but shame you didn't spend any time in the beautiful nature of Buda hills, or explored some of the lesser known architecture or cool brutalist/industrial areas. Looking at the same tram, the Chain Bridge the Parliament and the tiny V. district gets boring for us locals haha.
rhdisk0@reddit
Great job. I’m one of the people who live here and see this city the same way, always enjoying my time wandering around
KoVaNekk@reddit
Cool. You should made a video about poverty, trash all around, no public toilets, beggers, drugged people, Balkan feeling.
Edo00013@reddit
Lack of public toilets is a Hungary-wide problem. I totally don't understand it. We have recently gone to a smaller trip to the Danube and we faced with 3 closed toilets in 2 towns. Why? In Budapest, tourists just shouldn't leave the central areas, otherwise they gather some unpleasant experience.
-Wildmike@reddit
Is this really a Hungary issue? I’ve been to numerous countries but always had to use coffeeshops, shopping centres or restraurants for toilet.
Edo00013@reddit
Good question. I found the situation a little bit easier in Germany and in Vienna, but yes... More public toilets should be anywhere. 😅 For me, a sightseeing is usually about trying to drink as little as possible without getting sick.
ron_baker@reddit
Is that really what you thought about this awesome video? This comment shows best what's wrong with people here. It's so typical. No, he should not. Do you also post your fucked up moments on various social media? I know you don't post photos, but if you did, you would post those. Or do you take photos of the ugly things during your vacation? Did your parents take pictures of the ugly scenes and they're in your photo albums?
