ICE Can Now Enter Your Home Without a Warrant to Look for Migrants, DOJ Memo Says

No, they can't. Just because the DOJ has a memo doesn't mean the 4th Amendment magically disappeared. Also, Bivens v. Six Federal Agents.
No warrant = fuck off, or people should sue for damages.

Good luck with that

From the article:
Since the memo was issued, CBS News reports the Trump administration has signed 456 agreements with local police departments, letting them act as immigration officers — turning traffic stops and routine patrols into immigration raids.

I don't care which side of the political isle you land on, this is pretty disturbing.
OGAberrant@reddit
It is extremely disturbing, and the Conservative Party of a decade ago would have been, rightly, outraged. Unfortunately all that is left in my former party are cult members that care not for reality
WillBottomForBanana@reddit
"and the Conservative Party of a decade ago would have been, rightly, outraged."
lol, the one that supported all of Bush Jr's nonsense? your first mistake was believing things they said.
OGAberrant@reddit
You can’t seriously think anything that bush did comes close to what is currently going on. If you do, your bias is really showing
WillBottomForBanana@reddit
"comes close"
oh? because gitmo and the renditions and the torture happened to *other* people and now it's happening here?
the patriot act, the domestic spying, all of that doesn't matter because it was invisible.
other than some very old people who died, the voters are mostly the same voters. plenty of people in the house and senate are the same people.
you can ret-con all you like. But the Bush years were what made it completely obvious that there was nothing stopping fascism from taking over the country.
OGAberrant@reddit
It was completely obvious for people that were paying close attention, not those of us that were working our asses off through the period. Additionally, while the information flow was better than the 90’s, the internet really didn’t hit its stride until the teens. But sure, be a precocious ass and ensure anyone that wasn’t as engaged as you are knows how self righteous you are 🙄
thererises_aredstar@reddit
Luckily labor leftists have always felt the same way about government overreach and a citizens right to arm themselves as traditional conservatives, so you do have brothers in arms out here among us.
OGAberrant@reddit
I refuse to believe that there are not more people in this country that oppose these vile acts. The problem is getting people to wake up to the danger, because there is a whole lot of people out there that just aren’t paying attention. Maybe continued mass protests of increasing size will get their attention.
Though that is a disaster waiting to happen, it won’t be long and a provocateur will spin up the group think for violence, and then trump will declare the insurrection act
thefedfox64@reddit
It's not waking it, to me, at least.
The problem isn't people ignoring issues. I can tell you the issue -
Im not losing my fucking job. That's it.
My work does that. Any PR issue I could cause is immediate termination. Regardless of my rights. Fuck at will employment. You want people to stand up. That issue needs to get fixed. We had protests, and my work said anyone could take an unexcused absence to attend (without pay), which counts against you for review. We had emails. Anyone caught on camera as part of any "riotous" event would be terminated. Hell, we had someone arrested for a DUI and couldn't make it into work the next day. Guy wasn't even driving. He was drunk in public, and they case was dismissed. Still fired - since it can reflect poorly on the company.
Im not alone in this, I'd give up some many rights to keep food on the table, a roof over our heads, and my kids in school. You may call me w/e you want, but I got mouths to feed and bills to pay. I don't have the luxury of protesting, of possible voting for the "wrong" person, and my boss finds out. I don't even have the funds to fight speeding tickets. Let dumbasses shoot ICE agents, Im keeping my head down and prepping for shit to get worse. A dead father can't help his family.
OGAberrant@reddit
Able to share where you work? Sounds like a company many of us would prefer to avoid
While your situation is understandable, you are still on here voicing your opinion that you are too afraid to stand against tyranny and fascism. Why not just keep your head down and stay away from any of these items that may prevent you from feeding those mouths?
thefedfox64@reddit
I work at a credit union. And it's most places that are like that, I imagine most work environments from corperate down the line all have similar clauses and terminations.
Because this is a prepping sub, not a stand and fight sub. Acting "if only people knew" isn't realistic and part of what led us here in the first place. The finger wagging doesn't do justice to what is happening. People understand, but most people don't have the luxury of doing something because they have what they feel are more important things. Maybe you have a family, and maybe you think it's worth fighting for. Maybe your only form of child care are Trump supporters who, if you say anything liberal won't babysit your kids, and you end up having to pay hundreds of dollars for someone to watch them. All the while, some jagoff is calling you lazy and a coward because you don't do something to stop w/e it is they want stopped. "How can people like you believe so ignorant" helps no one and doesn't actually start a conversation.
Worth_Appearance3216@reddit
I understand and sympathize with you. But it is also true that a third of voting Americans are totally delusional. Uncle Donny is a career criminal, a compulsive liar, and a supremely self-centered a-hole with a slack jaw, who incited an attack on our own govt, and still at least 35% of American adults think he is some kind of messiah, sent here to deliver them from wokeness. Oh, and he's a big-business magician who can wave a wand and make prices disappear. And above all, he deeply cares about each and every one of us.
thefedfox64@reddit
Indeed. And if you think about it, it seems about right. Given our population size, let's say 20% are just...swayed by basically a cult leader. That seems about right in my mind.
OGAberrant@reddit
Not going to have this discussion as I am a retired veteran and will always fight for what is important. Good luck on your prepping and your life
Tanstaf1@reddit
Removing criminal lawbreakers who shouldn't be here is a vile act? Letting them in was the vile act.
OGAberrant@reddit
Sending people with no criminal records and no due process to a foreign prison, isn’t vile? Do you not believe in the constitution at all?
Tanstaf1@reddit
No system is perfect. Miniscule numbers happen and have always happened particularly under Biden and Obama. I am an originalist and fully believe in and have sworn to uphold the constitution and defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic.
OGAberrant@reddit
So you swore an oath, and are fine with Trump ignoring the constitution? Well aren’t you a pathetic oath breaking traitor. I swore the oath as well, multiple times, 22 years worth of oaths and training, and I would never accept mistakes as an excuse for allowing a dictator to gain power. You are pathetic
Tanstaf1@reddit
In our system SCOTUS determines what is constitutional. So far in his second term Trump has won 3 cases at SCOTUS and lost 2. Many are still pending but he is expected to prevail. Seems to me he's trying to follow the constitution, not ignore it. You just don't like what he's doing.
Many who swore oaths but blindly followed orders under codes of silence (no see, hear or speak), grifted, or worked for for the good of the Party or its titular leader or to keep their good job at a good wage and its perks and power or were part of the good ole boys deep state network FAFO'd.
You have a strange definition of dictator. Dictators seek to increase government size and power not dissolve or reduce it.
OGAberrant@reddit
So you are so weak of mind and character that you can’t make informed decisions yourself? Do you not have eyes and ears? Are you not capable of evaluating evidence?
Got it — you want a list of blatant constitutional violations by Trump or his team just since January 2025 (this year).
Here’s the clean summary, strictly from January 2025 to today (April 27, 2025), based on verified, reputable reporting and ongoing legal analysis:
⸻
Trump-Related Constitutional Violations Since January 2025
⸻
⸻
⸻
⸻
Quick Summary
Violation Constitutional Basis Status Media Retaliation First Amendment Ongoing Ignoring Court Orders Article III Brewing constitutional crisis Citizenship Deportations 14th Amendment Proposed; unconstitutional if enacted Stacking Agencies Appointments Clause (Article II) Under investigation
⸻
Important Note: Other abuses are threatened or planned but haven’t been fully executed yet (e.g., mass military deployments domestically, political loyalty oaths for civil servants). If those happen, they’ll trigger even more constitutional violations.
⸻
Would you also like a rapid list if you want to post/share this cleanly? (Would only take a minute to do.)
Tanstaf1@reddit
Your "verified, reputable reporting and ongoing legal analysis" doesn't mean crap. It's what SCOTUS has finally decided that counts.
Here are the final wins and losses for 2025 to date: I agree on the USAID one as its for money for work already done (but that shouldn't have been done).
But ya, I'll take your rapid list if ya got it.
Wins
Losses
OGAberrant@reddit
You just love soaking up those cult talking points huh. What a pathetic oath breaker you are. By your logic, you would follow an illegal order because you are so weak minded you would require SCOTUS to hold your little hand on what is right and wrong.
You’re missing a key point. Whether or not the Supreme Court rules immediately — or even at all — doesn’t change whether a constitutional violation happened. The Court resolves disputes and enforces consequences, but it doesn’t wave a magic wand and retroactively erase abuses just because a final opinion hasn’t dropped yet. History is packed with clear constitutional violations that either took years to sort out or were obvious to anyone paying attention.
Now, about the cases you threw out:
On the Alien Enemies Act deportations, the Supreme Court allowed it, but with conditions. The administration has to give individuals notice and a real chance to contest it. That’s not blanket approval — that’s guardrails. If they screw up even a little on due process, it’s challengeable again.
On the federal worker firings and the teacher funding freeze, you’re overstating it. Those are temporary procedural wins while litigation plays out. The Court didn’t rule the firings were constitutional. They just blocked lower-court orders from taking immediate effect while the cases move forward. It’s a “hold on, let’s not make moves yet” call, not a green light.
On the losses? Yeah, they’re real. Dellinger v. Bessent already has a lower court calling out improper firing practices, and SCOTUS declined to bail Trump out. And the USAID case is flat-out constitutional violation territory — you can’t freeze and withhold congressionally appropriated funds just because you feel like it. That’s a direct hit on the Appropriations Clause.
Bottom line: procedural stalls aren’t constitutional victories. And pretending they are just because you’re desperate for a clean scoreboard doesn’t change the facts. Trump’s administration has already clocked two real constitutional violations this year, and the list is still growing
Tanstaf1@reddit
Just so I will know please advise exactly which cult's taking points I am soaking up. Do you mean the 70 million member MAGA, MAHA, America First cult that voted for Trump?
What oaths have I broken and by what logic? Your words are just words without substance
I have never followed an illegal order and never will.
I disagree with some SCOTUS verdicts but as a law-abiding citizen follow them without them needing to hold my little hand and work to change them as was down with the Trump first term SCOTUS nominees.
Under our system you are innocent until proven guilty not because YOU wave a magic wand and say someone is guilty of violating the constitution. Just who the ef do you think YOU are?
You clearly are unable to understand the SCOTUS decisions to date but when the others are made maybe you'll get a clue
OGAberrant@reddit
Not 70 million, just the 33% that are regurgitating talking points instead of looking at the facts of the big picture. The Supreme Court said they are all to have due process and to facilitate the return of Garcia. You are ignoring his attacks on free speech I don’t know if that is willful ignorance, or just abject mental dysfunction, but you have you head stuck in the sand.
Or is it stuck up your cult leaders ass. Yes, you are an oath breaking traitor. You are providing support, which is aid and comfort, to a man that is aiding Russia and destroying our country. You don’t get that right now, but I bet you figure it out by the end of summer as things get really shitty. Just remember, you wanted this pain
Tanstaf1@reddit
I confess I still don't know which cult I'm a member of, but no matter. How am I doing? Am I missing or messing up any of their talking points?
Thankfully Garcia is not coming back. Get over it.
Thanks to Trump (and Elon for buying Twitter) a lot of us now have very expanded free speech. Previously "my cult's" speech was severely censored or attacked as hate speech. I am unclear why you think Trump is attacking free speech. Yes, thankfully true hate speech is being attacked.
Simply repeating that I am an oath breaker without specifics is non-productive.
Unless there's a complete Russian victory (which seems almost certain), every peace deal involves each party getting some things or losing some things so in a sense, eyes, Russia is being aided to keep what it won on the battlefield. What our country gets is not getting obliterated in a nuclear war and having to continue to spend money and materials that we critically need to defend ourselves and to repel China taking over Taiwan and to keep us from going bankrupt.
OGAberrant@reddit
Deny it all you like, but you are so far into the maga cult, you can’t see daylight. You know that meme of the cartoon dude sitting at the desk, coffee in hand, fire all over the place, and, “This is fine”. That is all of you maga cultists. No worries though, if you have even half a brain, you are going to realize how bad you screwed up 🤷♂️

thererises_aredstar@reddit
That’s exactly my anxiety, I do think we’ll get there sooner than most people anticipate. I share all your sentiments here. I have some hope in sharing our perspectives with others, working on community organization local to us, teaching and learning what’s useful and skill-sharing with people we trust in the lead up.
Most are vastly underestimating the trouble we’re in. I hope escalating protests and the reality of the supply chain suffering massive interruptions start to get people angry enough to wake up, and fearful enough to actually conceptualize what happens when due process is thrown away entirely and extrajudicial killings and disappearances to foreign prisons take its place. I hope we’ve got enough people that are fast enough learners to adapt and rise.
OGAberrant@reddit
I agree with that, the danger is very real, has historical precedence, and is unfortunately multi layered. The threat won’t be gone when Trump is, Vance and the Heritage foundation are the villain under the mask of pumpkin head. The theocrats are behind a lot of this, accidentally if nothing else. They have worked to set the stage for this, trump just tripped the trap accidentally and early, and they weren’t ready to follow through. Now they are
thererises_aredstar@reddit
Absolutely agree with all of this. I’d add Peter Thiel and the tech overlord/MIC interests getting pulled in alignment with the theocrats, and the Yarvinites that are worshipfully obsessed with that ideological marriage. I found the sub r/YarvinConspiracy here a while back and it’s helped me make some more sense of what had seemed like disparate actions from unaligned movements, I learn new things there all the time.
We have a lot to deal with here, a cliff we’re nearing plus many decades of work ahead if we can survive the fall. But despite the mounting fear and occasional despair, I will say I do still feel lucky every day to have good company defending rights and freedoms in this country. 🤝
OGAberrant@reddit
There are definitely multiple groups with their fingers in the turd pie, but Heritage and the entire evangelical cult are the long term threat.
I actually had a discussion with Chat the other night on the big picture of all of this. Was nice to get a little affirmation as not many are thinking strategically on this bizarre bit of chaos
thererises_aredstar@reddit
Oh that sounds helpful and interesting, if you have the time maybe consider posting with some excerpts you found useful or insights you gleaned? That strategic thinking will definitely be necessary to promote in these communities - as you pointed out, the Heritage/evangelical wing has played an exceptionally long game on this with staggering results.
OGAberrant@reddit
Their success, and Russia’s. The two of them are a perfect storm of manipulation and disinformation. We may have won a substantial battle for the Cold War, but Russia has knocked us on our kiester with intelligence and strategy. Massive return on investment.
I found the conversation pretty interesting, so not against sharing. The question is, where to post it?
thererises_aredstar@reddit
Very very true. And I’d say maybe here, maybe r/ThielWatch, cross post to r/YarvinConspiracy as many of the same threads are followed there, maybe one of the ICE watch oriented subs? r/ICEwatch or r/eyesonICE ? I know there are a few anti Heritage and anti Russian disinformation subs as well though I have to look up their names.
I’ll think it over and come back with any more ideas that pop up. I’ll follow your profile in the meantime in hopes of a post if thats alright.

The reason social revolution is cyclical is people keep targeting the figureheads of the snake and not the actual head of the snake. Even when the real heads are known and out in the open, the figurehead is still targeted.

thererises_aredstar@reddit
I would love to counter those snarky comments like the one above yours by laying out the long history of imperialistic violence and advocation for the police state that neoliberalism promoted arm and arm with neoconservativism, but a Reddit comment isn’t enough space.
There’s been slow moving realignments on both sides of the two-party aisle we’re stuck on in this country. I hope we can all here affirm our shared humanity and autonomy, and focus on liberating our country from the fascism thats rapidly encroaching on all of our lives.
And then I hope we can remember the lessons that were learned about our need to arm ourselves and limit government power while preserving democratic regulatory authority so we don’t have another oligarchic rise that decimates our labor power, guaranteed freedoms and autonomies, and way of life.
Solidarity to all here who are in this to protect our families, neighbors, and country. ✊
OGAberrant@reddit
I have enough to be concerned and focused on currently, I don’t need to add historical facts, because they are irrelevant when dealing with fascism in the present. You may have enough bandwidth and disdain to invest in that line of thinking, I do not.
What value is there in pointing out the history of parties, when we all know they ebb and flow. You are likely assuming everyone was informed in the 80’s and 90’s, but we weren’t. We were the last generation to grow up in blissful ignorance of much of the world’s chaos. That is not good Noelle bad, it is just change, which is one of the few true constants in life
Jagcan@reddit
Lot of words to say "im willfully ignorant"
thererises_aredstar@reddit
I’m actually agreeing with you and attempting to say the commenter above you was needlessly divisive when there’s often as much chance of agreeing with those in our old parties as much as there is agreeing with those that would have been across the old aisle.
Duopoly and oligarchy have created many senseless divisions between people that fundamentally the same values, and this is a prime time to shift our focus to those commonalities.

"If you don't have anything to hide, you have nothing to fear" - Maga Chuds
outworlder@reddit
Yeah. They forget that it's not you who decides if you have something to hide. It's the government that does.
For example, fact that you are a Jew shouldn't be something you need to hide. But if you are a Jew circa 1933, things change. A few years before that, it would be fine.
eliismyrealname@reddit
Yeah, my grandparents still taught me to hide my Jewish ancestry and pretend to be Lutheran Christian specifically. She knew I looked Jewish and was trying to protect me from Nazi punks/skinheads in Portland, Oregon. I love her for that because it’s actually relevant, still.
My in laws are racist and have guessed my race so many times it’s offensive. If she hadn’t have taught me to hide my race, who knows how much worse my in laws would treat me. It takes all my strength not to just flat out tell them my race and call them racist. It’s funny because they’ve never asked if I’m Jewish. They thought I was African-American first, then Asian-American, next Native American, now they’re back to Asian-American but they think I’m specifically Korean now. It’s fucking horrible.
SexyPeanut_9279@reddit
Why would you marry someone with such horrible parents? (Especially since it seems like your husband refuses to go “no-contact” with said parents despite how they treat you!?)
Tanstaf1@reddit
Actually it's the the duly passed laws that decide. Want an open border, seek legislation for it.
outworlder@reddit
It's not only the laws that decide. You just need to be branded as an undesirable and society will do the rest. "Communist" is still a popular option. Lately, being accused (without proof) of belonging to specific gangs is enough. And that's for supposedly democratic governments, authoritarian ones (or governments that become authoritarian) have even more options, including disregarding laws.
Who mentioned anything about "open borders"?
Tanstaf1@reddit
Just who has been accused of being a gang member without proof? There was proof they were here illegally and for that they were deported. No need for proof of membership.
I suggested you should seek a law that opens our borders if you want murderers, rapists, sex trackers, purse thieves, etc. to be able to come here and stay.
As for disregarding the laws enforced by a government you think to be authoritarian, I do hope you FAFO.
outworlder@reddit
Please read it again. I didn't say WE need to disregard laws, I certainly don't. I said that authoritarian governments will do that, in order to target people they don't like. We are starting to see that, even going against Supreme Court decisions now.
"Proof" of gang membership is needed(for now) in order to invoke the Alien Enemies Act, which is what they are using to deny due process and send people to overseas prisons.
Once again, nobody is talking about "open borders" except you. The United States has not had any policies that could be even remotely described as "open borders" in over a century. Your insistence on this talking point tells me that you have been consuming too much propaganda from a certain political spectrum. Try to broaden your horizons a little, you'll see that reality is very different from what they are telling you.
Nobody wants violent criminals in the US. If that's such an important issue to you, you should be the first one complaining. Over 75% of those deported to El Salvador has no criminal history whatsoever. Only around 5% had violent crime history. If you want to get rid of criminals, you could write to your representatives and ask them to focus on that.
I've said all I need to say in this thread so I won't extend this discussion. I just ask that you try to look at these issues with a critical viewpoint, instead of letting others inspire fear and hate.

A comment I wrote yesterday listing a handful of the cases in which people have been caught doing this since January.

NewFraige@reddit
Don’t be an idiot, it’s not about a criminals. Of course criminals should be arrested, given due process, and punished. However, this is about OUR rights, more specifically, the fourth amendment. ICE or any gov agency being able to enter your home without a warrant is a direct violation of OUR fourth amendment. If you give an inch, they’ll take a mile. Next it’ll be the ATF entering your home looking for guns. Pam Bondi literally stated she wants to take the guns first, then due process later. You’re going to let them violate OUR rights in the name of finding a criminal? Please try to think and see the bigger picture given their lack of respect for due process. Our Founding Fathers fought the American Revolution over unlawful searches and lack of due process. So… Would you have been a Patriot or a Loyalist?
Tanstaf1@reddit
If what you say was happening under Trump or Bondi was happening I would be actively opposed. It's not. It happened under Biden and would have under Harris. On taking guns, it was Trump not Bondi that said take guns first then due process You simply do not know what you're talking about. ANYWAY that was under an active shooter situation (Las Vegas). You want to let an active shooter keep his weapons until some judge can oversee due process? Please specify the details of when ICE has performed unconstitutional home invasions. Never happened or it would be big news. Your saying it doesn't mean it happened even as with most lefties if you say it 1,000 times.
My heroes are Sam Adams and Joseph Warren. Who are yours?
Read the Declaration of Independence. We did not revolt until we tried many peaceful means (as outlined in it).
We now have peaceful means to change laws and did so, thus the 4th amendment. if you want people who violated the law and came here, or overstayed here, or violated the visa terms (and thus are criminals) and want to harbor such criminals in your house, go get the law changed so you can do that.
NewFraige@reddit
Skip to 1:11 Trump was repeating/rephrasing what she said.
It’s always Biden’s fault, everything is evil Kamala’s fault.
You’re comparing an active crime scene to a suspicion. ICE is being given permission to enter based on suspicion, not a warrant or active crime scene. How can you not differentiate the two?
When did I call for violence? I’m telling you why we fought the Revolution and why we should lawfully oppose this. This is why we have the Constitution and why I’m citing it.
You completely missed the point of what I am saying and equating protecting our rights to harboring criminals. You seriously lack reading comprehension.
Tanstaf1@reddit
Thanks for the link. The media mislead me to think it was Trump. I think there is a difference in not returning guns taken after a gun violence event that results in a civil commitment per the findings of a hearing before a judge (presumably with representation) versus other takings or refusals to issue purchase or carry permits without similar due process which has been the practice in the past but I'd have to see the details which are still being worked out (for FL).
I have reservations that the 1798 Alien Sedition Act could become a slippery slope. but it is the law and we have been invaded. I have not heard reliable info that ICE has had unfounded suspicions. In hindsight quickly whisking them out of country was a wise move otherwise some wacky judge would have let them back loose in our country or we'd be paying big bucks to lock them up for ever. They can get their due process down in el Salvador or Venezuela or wherever. But perhaps we may need a FISA system.
I was not inferring you proposed violence, but rather the US Revolutionary patriots took up arms when peaceful means failed. Actually they did so to prevent armed seizures of leaders, arms and ammunition.
I did miss your point about protecting our right versus harboring criminals but this was due to your poor presentation rather than my inability to comprehend.
Finally you were also wrong. It was John Adams, not Sam that defended the Brits after the Massacre. But John did finally come around and become a patriot.
Zealousideal-Plum823@reddit
That's where it typically starts with an Authoritarian regime. It typically goes in this order (historically speaking over the past two centuries worldwide) to deport, imprison, and disappear.
Then we have to wait about 3-10 decades for the "loyalty over competence" crowd to do themselves in. Then there's some messy and horrible revolution that may restore democracy. This pattern has been documented by the Greeks over 3000 years ago and humans still fall victim to demagogues. Polybius was one Greek who spelled this "cycle" out in detail. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polybius

Easy there Clint Eastwood, if you’re not harboring fugitives they have no reason to enter your home.
This law was made for people hiding known gang-members/criminals who also happen to be illegal immigrants (and we know this because they have already committed a crime and have been re-released back into the community.)

No they can't! STFU
Av8tr1@reddit
Probable cause has been a thing since 1789. This isn't something new to the Trump administration. It was written in the original Constitution.
Its literally written into the 4th amendment. "but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
If someone is here illegally and is being harbored by a citizen both are committing a crime. If law enforcement has reasonable suspicion, it is legal to search for someone in hiding.
Yeah, its bullshit that we have come to this. But if you enter the country illegally, you have committed a crime. If you harbor someone who entered the country illegally, you are in fact an accessory to a crime and thus committing a crime. This gives law enforcement all they need to search your house.

The Gestapo.
thererises_aredstar@reddit
Very very true. And I’d say maybe here, maybe r/ThielWatch, cross post to r/YarvinConspiracy as many of the same threads are followed there, maybe one of the ICE watch oriented subs? r/ICEwatch or r/eyesonICE ? I know there are a few anti Heritage and anti Russian disinformation subs as well though I have to look up their names.
I’ll think it over and come back with any more ideas that pop up. I’ll follow your profile in the meantime in hopes of a post if thats alright.

No, no they can't. The constitution says otherwise. I will cheer when ICE and FBI agents start getting shot.
BILLIONAIRE_JESUS@reddit
I'm pretty sure the house down the street from me is harboring illegal aliens. They've been flying that trump 2024 flag for a few years to just throw off the cops.

"As much as practicable, officers should follow the proactive procedures above-and havean executed Warrant of Apprehension and Removal-before contacting an Alien Enemy. However, that will not always be realistic or effective in swiftly identifying and removing AlienEnemies. For example, consistent with the law, officers may need to contact a suspected AlienEnemy to develop further facts or otherwise confirm any of the four requirements for validationas an Alien Enemy. Or an officer may encounter a suspected Alien Enemy in the natural course ofthe officer's enforcement activity, such as when apprehending other validated members of Tren deAragua. Given the dynamic nature of enforcement operations, officers in the field are authorizedto apprehend aliens upon a reasonable belief that the alien meets all four requirements to bevalidated as an Alien Enemy. This authority includes entering an Alien Enemy's residence to makean AEA apprehension where circumstances render it impracticable to first obtain a signed Noticeand Warrant of Apprehension and Removal (Form AEA-21B).Whenever officers make a reactive apprehension under the AEA, officers must thereaftercomplete each relevant step of the Proactive Removal Procedures outlined above. And prior toremoval of an Alien Enemy, officers must complete all forms described above, namely, FormsAEA-21A, AEA-21B, and AEA-21C"

We're repealing a bill of rights now?
RF-blamo@reddit
It became irrelevant on January 20.
xlvi_et_ii@reddit
Oh it became irrelevant long before then - that's just when it became apparent for all to see.
Privacy and due process have been under assault since at least 9/11 and the Patriot Act - policies like mass surveillance, suspension of habeas corpus, Guantanamo, and extraordinary rendition shit all over the Constitution.
Cool_Direction_9220@reddit
absolutely this. many marginalized people are rightly frustrated by people acting like this path hasn't been forged over a long period of time and as if these types of oppression are new. they are not. they only are for less marginalized people. but nobody cared then, when it didn't affect them.

FaceThief9000@reddit
A memo doesn't override the Constitution you god damn clowns.
Corrupted_G_nome@reddit
Neither does arresting people or deporting them without trial.
These people dont follow or care about the constitution.
There are arrest videos online where a warrant was not produced and a reason for the arrest was not given. The person's private vehicle was ented by smashing their windows.
They are literally detaining and deporting without their constitutionally mandated due process.
The career criminal not following the rules? Who knew it would go this way?!?!
FaceThief9000@reddit
Well, all you can do is hold your congressmen, your mayors, your governors all accountable and be ready if things escalate to a point and a line is crossed and the only resolution left is civil war.

stargazer4272@reddit
The fuck they can... Let's introduce the 2nd amendment to them because they are using the same rules that the 3rd amendment was put in for.
