Resignation emails - can you mention certain things?

Leaving a job after 5 years. Lots of people have reached out in last few weeks to tell me they are sad to see me go and it will be a loss.
In my leaving email, I do want to thank people for saying this but I do not want to come across cocky. How can I do this?
Also is it excessive to include everyone in company when sending my email. Its just that I know so many that I worry if I manually type peoples name in, I may forget someone.

I assume you don't mean a resignation email, but the last email to your colleagues before you leave.
In which case, "I've enjoyed working with you all and have been touched by the kind messages over the last week. I wish you all the best of luck, and I will look back on my time here fondly" sort of thing.

Yes sorry the last email!
Is it copy to everyone in?

It really depends on your work culture. If it's a small place and you know and interact with most people and they'd know you, then sure.
Otherwise if there's 1000 staff and you'd only worked in one department just go for a list of people you've worked with.

Never burn any bridge in work, If your asking this question then you know the answer.
Your like anyone and a few months from a sacking or a residency or a false claim or bad work place from being in the shit.
Send two or three different emails. Fellow work mates one just for them and be the best hype man, be flavour flav true or not. Like thank them for being great work mates, thanks Simon for his funny stories about his stamp collection, Ty Simone for her tallest of her kids and grand kids that made you laugh etc.
Anything else is for your ego and I've been on places earning mad money and places earning none but I've always been thought of because I was ok at my jobs as nd was pleasant and asked Jenny from accounts how her honeymoon was and listening and being interested and not being Mr nice but also not burning a bridge even with people I want to slap so hard they become a comet.

How big is the company? People asked you but you don’t reply. Without knowing this, it’s hard to tell whether it’s appropriate to include everyone in it.

I swear someone posted this exact question last week even the part of multiple people emailing to say they are sorry to see them leave and the OP asking if it comes across as arrogant to mention people saying they don't want them to leave.

Yeah, I remember this too
ToffeePoppet@reddit
I remember that too.

Nothing worse than receiving a self-flaggelating goodbye email from somebody you've never met or heard of.
Mr_Bumcrest@reddit
Resignation email, no. That should be to the point and to your manager/HR.
Nothing wrong with writing a general email to your colleagues later on though.
Desperate-Drawer-572@reddit (OP)
Sorry i meant my goodbye email
Mr_Bumcrest@reddit
Then I don't see the issue. Whether or not you send it to everyone depends on what percentage know you.
NennisDedry@reddit
It's definitely not standard practice to CC an entire company into a resignation email.
How big's the company?
Desperate-Drawer-572@reddit (OP)
Sorry not resignation email, my last day goodbye email
zephyrmox@reddit
It depends on the size of the company as to whether it's appropriate to copy everyone in or not.
People in this thread don't seem to understand the difference between a resignation email and a leaving email.

All it needs to be is
Anything beyond that is decoration. And it only needs to be sent to your immediate manager.

ChatGPT suggests:
"Over the last few weeks, I've been touched by the kind messages and conversations I've had with many if you. It truly means a lot to know that my time here has had a positive impact."
As for mentioning individuals, I wouldn't.
thrrowaway4obreasons@reddit
No, just say something about the staff as a whole and how you will miss working there. Don’t single anything out.
newnortherner21@reddit
I suggest as far as you can, you are brief in your email, and express your thanks personally to those who you have been very pleased to work with.
