As if Europeans needed yet another reason to hate Americans; make them eat US MREs. LOL
Fit_Acanthisitta_475@reddit
Cans food is better than MRE.
SnooMarzipans4304@reddit
buy a decent food dehydrator and make your own.
Pilgrim_of_Reddit@reddit
Need a nice sized kitchen for ones of them.
SnooMarzipans4304@reddit
Nope, I live in a downtown condo and run this 10 tray dehydrator from Bass Pro. I can prepare multiple food items or ALOT of a few items (like jars of pasta sauce, cooked noodles for a multiple meals) Just using a small kitchen for prep, into the mylar pouches, and into my storage pantry for a few years.

Buy European.
Positive-thoughts-@reddit
This ☝️. European MREs are often cheaper and (much) tastier than their American counterparts. Try the French MREs and tell me what you think.
Heck_Spawn@reddit
Whoa. Those French rations sound like the stuff Gordon Ramsey puts out. Kinda scared to look at the British ones tho...
MrHmuriy@reddit
I tried an Italian Modulo B ration once - they even put a small 30ml bottle of liquor in there.
Positive-thoughts-@reddit
Some of the dishes from these rations are elaborated by famous Chefs I believe. As for the British rations they're ok, I would say better than the American ones, but not exceptional.
Heck_Spawn@reddit
Not like...
Positive-thoughts-@reddit
😂. Actually I think one of them has baked beans in it.

Menu 2.

The UK military rations are good.
The menus are available. The menus also include food suited to different religions, including vegans ( 😀)
FruitOrchards@reddit
And probably healthier.
Masseyrati80@reddit
Before going all out to find American ones, I highly recommend sampling freeze dried foods by companies like Leader (Finnish), Tactical Foodpack (Estonian, with some production in Germany), Real Turmat (Norwegian), Adventure Foods (Dutch), and Blå Band (Swedish).
Unlikely-Ad3659@reddit
Only reason to buy US MREs is to try them for a you tube or tik tok video.
US food prices are significantly higher than from the EU and are of significantly lower quality. We buy their grains and that is about it for a reason.
Deep pantry is best, or buy french MREs at a pinch.
ArtyIiom@reddit
Take French ones, cheaper than American ones, and 3x better
MrLongWalk@reddit
Why not buy local stuff? What’s the advantage of American?
hope-luminescence@reddit
Possibly, just that they're well known and a "known quantity" compared to less well known and perhaps less available MREs from various countries.
Nibb31@reddit
French MREs are the beat.
Vnze@reddit
While I can't help you finding American MRE's, I'd like to give my opinion anyway: American MRE's are imo inferior to French ones (RCIR) and costlier too.
Source: U.S. soldiers very eager to trade their food with the French when I was deployed.
Lifealone@reddit
step one: find a military post.
Step two: look in almost any store in front of the gate with a U.S flag in the window
hadtobethetacos@reddit
I mean.. amazon has plenty of them. I would certainly choose something other than American MREs though lol.
dittybopper_05H@reddit
Why do you want that?
Military MREs are basically the worst of all possible worlds when it comes to emergency rations.
If you plan on staying home, you're better off with a deep pantry.
If you plan on moving, you're better off building your own "MRE"s out of stuff you know you like.
Trust me, it sucks when you get stuck eating the one meal you hate and you don't have anyone willing to trade you for it!
thisisnorthe@reddit
Mountain House is better than US Military MRE
t. LARPer who has eaten both
MrHmuriy@reddit
You probably only need American MREs in Europe if you're used to eating only them and can't eat any others. MREs from many European countries are better than American MREs.
