Colt Python 6” vs 4.25”
Timeout_for_Lunch@reddit
I love shooting the 6". 4" is more practical for carry, but I find the 6" a joy to shoot.
ClimateQueasy1065@reddit
Shorter one is cooler, blueing is beautiful on both
Shot_Tomatillo2008@reddit
The 6 inch barrel would be more accurate. It all depends on what you’re gonna use it for the shorter barrel would be better for quick draws but the 6 inch one would be a hell of a lot more accurate.

They just announced blue 2.5", 3", and 5" models, so it looks like your decision got even harder!
FixGreat4649@reddit (OP)
Really? When that happen?
CrypticQuery@reddit
Apparently earlier today. They just added them to their website.

Both man!

I have the 6”, it’s incredibly accurate.
Squirrel_Works@reddit
As soon as they make the 5" in blue I'm getting one
fitzbuhn@reddit
Well have I got exciting news for you
GullibleRisk2837@reddit
Do you have any revolvers already? If so, get whatever is less similar. If not, I say grab that 6 incher.
TheNefariousMrH@reddit
6in barrel would be my first choice.

6”
MrProvy@reddit
Which ones older (assuming they're used)? I would go with the older one, or whichever one has the original box.
FixGreat4649@reddit (OP)
I was looking at the new ones, $1700. All the old ones I find are $5000-$8000 and more for collectors.
FizzyBunch@reddit
Are you a hunter or precision shooter?
FixGreat4649@reddit (OP)
Really neither.
moebiusgrip@reddit
If the technicals are not super important get the one you think looks better.
I’d go with the 6” barrel. Just looks awesome. However they are both beautiul
Outrageous-Basis-106@reddit
6" is better for accuracy but I think the 4.25" is more fun and probably does a better job teaching accuracy.
Tacoboom2323@reddit
I much prefer the balance on 4 inch revolvers, I prefer the looks of the 6 inch; shooting experience is more important than aesthetics imo. You should try to hold both if you haven't done so already.
