Removing head bolts.

So I’m working on my 97 mustang and there’s just one thing I don’t understand, so I know when putting them on there’s a certain order and torque specs like turning them all 80 one at a time then 180 etc. when I’m taking them out can I just reverse the order and take each bolt out at once or do I need to do the same thing like loosening 180 to every one then doing it again at 80. If that makes any sense. Just don’t want to fuck up anymore than I have at this point, I’m already needing to take out 500$ for a fuel rail, water heater return line, injectors.

When removing follow the tension procedure in reverse.

You don't need a torque wrench, but breaking all the bolts loose first (in the reverse order of the torque pattern) is a good idea. Just help to keep the head from getting warped.

Loosen them in the reverse pattern of how they are tightened. It wouldn't hurt to rotate them a little at a time each, but it's not necessary.
