When filling out my background check for my firearm I believe I forgot to put “st” after my street name.. will that result in a denial bc the address is not fully correct?

For example my address would be 315 west Vermont st, Jefferson City MO 63584.
When you look up my actual address it says 2 of the same addresses one with a west and one with an east.
But I forgot to put the abbreviation for st on my address. And to be honest I can’t remember if I even put west on there. I was in such a rush and I just have the worst memory so not remembering that I put something down on something so big and important that when it’s time to go get it they say I got denied and I spent all that money on a gun for me not to be able to get it bc I forgot the abbreviation for “street” or the “west”.

Shouldn't be an issue unless there's a 315 West Vermont st and a 315 West Vermont Way and a prohibited person with a similar name and date of birth lives there.

Okay could you answer another quick question? If I answered one question wrong like would you sell this to a prohibited blah blah blah and you accidentally put “yes” and the ffl submits the form would that instantly get you denied or would it go through the normal 7–10 day waiting period then tell me if I got denied later on
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
Normally an FFL will look at those questions before submitting to make sure that you answered acceptably.
The federal check is damn near instant, so you'd get denied pretty quick. If you're in a state with an unconstitutional waiting period then I don't know when they would inform you of a denial.

Needed this specifically! I’m going to call my ffl for extra comfort and sanity bc I know a few of them personally and they should be able to give me a few answers to ease a man’s anxiety lol. Just don’t want to have to wait 5-10 days to get denied and have to restart the process lol

If your FFL did the BGC with a disqualifying answer on the 4473 he's up shit creek.
The 4473 is a pass/fail train stop.

Instant? What state?
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
Federal. In many states without a waiting period you can clear a background in five minutes or less.

That's why I was wondering what state. Still don't get his it all works. In Minnesota, turn in the paperwork hang out in the gun shop looking around 15-45 minutes and you can walk out with the gun (s) or they might make you wait 3 days. Usually it's wait but then they might call you the next day then say it's approved. Just seems weird

Here in Texas my FFL doesn't even run background checks on me. My LTC serves in lieu of the background check.
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
Not sure about Minnesota but some states have their own state background checks that'll take however long they want. Free states that just have the federal minimum gun laws/background checks you're in and out.
ArmyAnt2172@reddit
So it's a Minnesota thing. That clears it up a little better. Thanks for the info

Straight to jail.

But they will go to the wrong house to collect them.

The address is not given to the fbi as part of your background. It’s up to the ffl to make sure your documentation matches what’s on the 4473. The government only gets your address on a denial or if they trace the gun later.

You should be fine

No

I have used this ffl numerous times for guns so I figure even if I forgot one or 2 of those words that since I’ve put in so many with the same address it shouldn’t be a problem to correct itself or take the common sense route and look at my past background checks and see it’s the same address just a thing or 2 is missing. Especially if it’s humans doing the background check and not some automated system.
