Fully agree, it's like the 787's sibling that tries to put on makeup but fails miserably. The 787 looks miles better but it's still not the best looking. The best looking are the MD-11, A340, A330 and Boeing 767.

Keep in mind when you design an aircraft it isn't necessarily about the looks but the aerodynamics. If you can save .5% in fuel on a design feature that is "ugly", it's going to be on the airplane.

True, but it definitely helps if the plane can be functional and look good at the same time.

No, it really doesn't. Also, you cannot say that the A-350 looks bad, because then you are stating that every commercial aircraft looks bad. Keep in mind that every single commercial aircraft in operation is a tube with wings. The only differing aesthetic factors are the pointyness of the nose and the slight shape differences in the windscreens.

I’m goin to have to disagree with that statement. Each airplane has its own nuanced design characteristics, and even those that are very similar can be told apart. It is ignorance to say that disliking the appearance of one aircraft is disliking them all.

Yes, the aircraft have appearance differences. Yes, I like the appearance of Boeing aircraft more than the appearance of Airbus aircraft. However, all of these aircraft are simply tubes with wings appearance-wise. The only decisive factor in appearance is the front end of the aircraft, more specifically the windscreen since it reminds us of a human face in the same way as car headlights.

No buddy, theres a reason why the MD-11, B767, B747, and A330/A340 are much prettier
