Recommend case for vintage Winchester model 94

I'm giving it to our grandson age 18, the gun bought new maybe 1935 or so, dad bought it in way upstate NY, has the saddle ring on the R side of the case. It has never had a proper case and I'd like to get something appropriate. Any recommendations for something vintage, or are today's tough ballistic nylon ones better?

Rifle cases are for transporting rifles, not storing them in. Any moisture that gets sealed up with the rifle will stay in contact with the metal on the firearm. That said, I would look for one with ample padding and reinforced ends. You can go with a hardshell case but the temptation to store the rifle in it will be higher.
