Is Meatloaf a common meal in the UK?

Just in discussion with some US folk and for me, when I think of Meatloaf, I think of the singer, not the food as it wasn't something I was aware outside of references in US film and TV.
It seems to be a pretty common meal in the US, but nothing something I had growing up in the North West during the 90s. However, Meatloaf - the singer - was pretty big around then.

I know this post is years old but I'm stepping in anyway, so deal with it.
Anyway, in all my 27 years (ancient, I know) I have only ever tried Meatloaf once, about 17 years ago. We were at a friend of my Mum's for Lunch, who'd made us meatloaf. I didn't like it. I never really thought about trying to find it again until I saw this post. I have never seen or heard of meatloaf since. Except for ALF, I have watched so much ALF.

Nope I heard about it alot from American tv shows so asked my family about it nobody as ever seen it or tried in my midlands UK. Closest thing might be faggots (since pork balls with subtle herbs and spice eaten with gravy). Also steak and kidney pudding, the pudding is doughy not like crust pastry. What do you think?

The closest thing we have to a meatloaf in the UK is called haslet, mainly eaten in Lincolnshire. I would know, as I'm originally from there, and I absolutely love it.
When my friends come over, I always make this for them, yet they never get bored of it.
Basically sausage meat, sage, black pepper and sometimes offal, shaped into a loaf or large-ish balls, coated in stale breadcrumbs, and baked then left to cool.
The most common way to eat haslet is to serve it cold in sandwiches or on salads.
P.S. haslet isn't a meatloaf per se, it's more like a lump of sausage in a baked layer.

I'm 38 British born and bred and I made a meatloaf out of curiosity and it was flipping amazing. I slightly tweaked it using bbq sauce instead of ketchup but honestly it was so good. Had it with mash and green beans. Only reason I don't make it all the time is I've had a gastric sleeve now n it's incredibly filling. I massively recommend it
