Built a new PC, using 2x16GB T-create DDR5 Expert RAMS but when opening task manager it says 31.1 GB total out of the 32 GB supposedly. Is this normal or do I have a faulty RAM?

Do you have an integrated GPU on your CPU? It could be allocating some RAM as VRAM to that.

I have the 9800x3d and i think it does after searching. if thats the case, and its supposed to do that then i think the RAM is okay

In Task Manager, does it say "Hardware Reserved: 907 MB"? If so, that's totally normal and your RAM is fine.

I was wondering the same thing since I also have 31.1GB of 32GB usable. I have a 9600x, this thread was very handy for figuring out what was going on. Thank you!
