Do you wait until Easter Sunday to open and eat easter eggs?

I'm curious. Growing up we weren't allowed any Easter chocolate before Easter Sunday, like how we weren't allowed any Christmas presents before Christmas day. My wife says this is nonsense.
Do other people do this, or do you (or your kids) just pig out across the season as you fancy?
