Jasion YR20

I am thinking of getting this as it the same price as a ridstar (in Canada). I just want some opinions on this please.
Huxley65@reddit
I ordered this ebike from Amazon. It came 90% assembled and the rest was easy . Replace the tires ASAP. Bike is smooth and responsive. There are some changes to reviewed models, some inconsequential, other not. Why Jaison would change the model is anyone's guess. Cost savings? There are no, rear, turn signals any longer. Huge disappointment since I wanted the bike as a commuter. The transparent, hydraulic, brake indicators are just gone, but the fake non adjustment rear shock remains, puzzling decision. Overall, it's still a good value.
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Does it still have a rear brake light at all though?
TropicalTurtl@reddit
I'll let you know when I get mine in about a week
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
I got mine yesterday. Its like theirs.
TropicalTurtl@reddit
Is there anything else different? Or just the turn signals?
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
They updated the screen to a better one and instead of giving us the 0-7 mode we got the option to increase max speed per mode which is cool ig. There is a somewhat sleeker looking brake light now without turn signals which is fine in my area (hand signals). Seems like they axed the turn signals to add an updated control pad that integrates everything into one pad (lights and horn added to the pad that controlls the screen.) I might add an aftermarket key ignition since there is more room on the bars now. The new brakes are still hydraulic brakes on 180mm disks except the reservoirs are more traditional looking mineral oil reservoirs and honestly look cleaner. Oh and the old brakes required a $100 motorcycle brake bleed kit to bleed them. Now we can use a normal bike brake bleed kit. Oh and all the welds on the frame have improved but I got plastic pedals and my buddy that got his last year (let's say his is a gen 1) got metal pedals but way worse welds lol. He went through two stock front forks because both were bent then he upgraded to aftermarket forks. Mine are like ever so slightly bent and the rotor rubs when I make sharp turns. I plan on upgrading all this stuff eventually so im not worried. Its a quick little bike and great in battery. Ive only peddled it once. 😎

Sorry man I know this is old but do you know what forks your friend bought? Or what the specs on our forks is so I can buy something. Had a fall a couple days ago and bent the forks pretty badly but the customer support is taking a while to respond. Thanks so much
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
The ones everyone gets lol
TropicalTurtl@reddit
The bucklos brand? Or the fox forks
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Bucklos. This bike isnt worth anything more imo.
TropicalTurtl@reddit
Do you know which model of the Bucklos fits? Ive seen like 3 different dual crown models from them. Thanks
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Measure the stock forks....
TropicalTurtl@reddit
Ty so much bro. I'm so excited for mine
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
No problem. I recommend getting it out of the box asap and charging the battery 1st thing so it starts charging while you put the front wheel and handle bars on which install just like a bmx bike. There is a little plastic protector inside the front caliper you need to pull out that they dont mention in the instructions or the front wheel wont go on. I didnt install the front fender and I removed the rear fender. Looks way better and the seat will protect you from dirt and water, no idea why they even have it on. Just make sure if you take it off not to put the bolt back in too far on the chain side or it will bump your gears and knock the chain out of wack lol it happened to me. I also removed the big fake red cans on the rear shocks with one of the included Allen keys (one of the thick bois they give). Make sure tire pressure stays at like 18-20 psi because the stock tubes supposedly suck. Head light is easy to install, find the loose red female connector hanging out of the cable sleeve and plug it in. Gotta push hard just make sure the tab lines up and push. After that I took the slack and looped it bunny ear style and tucked it up in the velcro sleeve and just tightened the sleeve up a little. Then just put the pedals on and wait for your battery to charge fully. Plug the charger into the wall 1st before plugging into the battery. It can charge on or off the bike. Good luck 👍

Just got mine today... I got the old one so maybe what bike you get is location depending. I'm in BC Canada
No-Plantain-3809@reddit
How's it holding up now?
TropicalTurtl@reddit
I'm gonna be honest I slipped on a curb 2 days ago and the forks got bent. 😭 Other than that it's been amazing. I promise you it easily gaps a 1500w ridstar q20 that costs hundreds more. I'm currently trying to contact them about buying replacement forks or getting the specs to buy aftermarket forks. Other than the one fall that was my fault I've been loving this bike. One of my friends has a riding times gt73 (not pro) and they have almost the same acceleration up to around 50kmh where they start to pull ahead. If you're looking for cheap speed then it's great.
TropicalTurtl@reddit
Damn
TropicalTurtl@reddit
I just ordered one off Amazon like 5 minutes ago. The Amazon listing still shows all those features you mentioned though? I feel like you could probably return it for false advertising
hawaiianmoustache@reddit
You folks know you can buy bikes that aren’t drop-shipped garbage right?
Just making sure folks understand that.
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Not everyone has daddies money to drop $1500-$2500 on a slower bike. Clown. You obviously dont know shit about ebike.
hawaiianmoustache@reddit
Oh no, I’ve lost the respect of a gamer? And I don’t know shit about ebike?
Fuck, I dunno how I’ll get over this deep emotional damage. Gonna take some time and therapy.
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Yep 😆✌️
Euphoric-Passion-40@reddit
What do u recommend,am thinking about getting cycverve from cycrown
hawaiianmoustache@reddit
I recommend people never buy a bike they can’t test ride and get local support on when they need it.
senjuwaave@reddit
Yall are so annoying 😂
xelenceofexecution@reddit
I recommend people not talking shit on a bike they have never seen or ridden. This is a nice bike with a very simple design. If you run into any problems you can def troubleshoot anything with the help of their customer service which has been great. I'd much rather work on my own bike than go get ripped off at my local bike shop.
julcyfruit@reddit
Do you pedal on yours? Just wondering if the angle is uncomfortable so close to the seat?
xelenceofexecution@reddit
I do but mostly throttle. It works fine but it's the most comfortable. I'd say I pedal about 5% of the time when I'm on the sidewalk and such.
julcyfruit@reddit
Thank you!
spjinseattle@reddit
I just ordered and received this bike and have been riding it the last couple days. It's advertised as a 2000 watt bike, but you cannot achieve anywhere close to 2000 watts because the current limiter setting (P14) is locked from the factory at 22amps (closer to 1000 watts). You also cannot change the speed limit (P08) like you can with other bikes using the same instrument panel and controller combination. I'm waiting to do my formal review of the bike until I hear back from Jasion support. But I can tell you as of right now I do have buyer's remorse.
Reyybies@reddit
You think there’s anyway around those settings?
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
i figured it out you get a controller kit with new screen
TropicalTurtl@reddit
Which kit?
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
Its not worth it. Upgrade the front forks for sure though.
You'd spend the same money in the long run trying to make it faster and potentially more dangerous as you would on something meant to go that fast stock and is better quality.
TrippyDaveXB1@reddit
I need to know too it says mines 3000w
string_flickin@reddit
I love the bike but their customer service is absolutely trash. Because I didn't buy it directly from them or Amazon, they refuse to help me troubleshoot an issue. Absolutely garbage loyalty to customer
SituationMother3456@reddit
Definitely would recommend the YR20 , I bought it on Amazon and delivery was estimated around 6 days , it came in 2 days, excellent bike for the price .. love it
julcyfruit@reddit
Do you pedal on yours? Just wondering if the placement of the pedals is uncomfortable angle?
No_Tomorrow_1100@reddit
Is the bike too small? because i am trying to attach a rear cargo to make deliveries
Ok_Duck528@reddit (OP)
Thanks!
SituationMother3456@reddit
I just got this bike last week it is my 3rd e-bike , I love it so far definitely worth the price , it's very comfortable and easy to assemble, love that it has a real horn and blinkers on the rear brake light , very nice set up .. no complaints yet
Next-Slice-8097@reddit
does the bike have the seat customized to fit two people
xelenceofexecution@reddit
Couldn't recommend this bike enough. It's is awesome. Smooth and comfortable. Has more than enough speed and looks awesome. It is a big bike and def heavier than I thought. Well made and easy to put together.
