Do any local video game stores replace the batteries in Gameboy cartridges?

I'm the original owner of several Pokémon games. I have Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver (Japanese), Crystal, and Emerald. Red and Yellow are still running on the original batteries and they still have the original save files from 1998/1999, and Gold last I played it was still working also (accidentally erased the original save file while using a Game Shark) but Silver and Crystal don't save anymore because the batteries are dead, and Emerald still saves but all in game events that use time such as berries no longer work because of the dead battery. Any stores in Plano that replace the batteries, and can preserve the original save files on Red and Yellow?

It's pretty simple to do yourself with the right tools. I had to do the same thing some time back. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. Sadly, I don't know of any stores that will do it for you.

Need some specific tech for that... it's not too hard to replace the batteries, but if you want to keep the saves they would need to have a special device for dumping your saves onto a PC first, but not sure there is a huge demand so that could be tough. The processes isn't so hard to just replace though, just need to have like the iFixIt kit with the "gamebit" to get the tri-wing 3.8mm screw, then a solder to take it out and back in. Just don't use the "tape method" unless you want to risk permanent damage to the game/board itself. But best to call around, like he said FX Games is probably the best bet as far as places that may repair it.

I'd try calling FX Games and Console Repair and see if they do that, it's in Plano so would be easy access
