Opinions on Reformed Pilates

I know it hasn’t been open long but if you’ve tried Reformed and have Pilates experience, what are your thoughts? Is it worth it at the founders rate of $189 unlimited? How much variety is there in the workouts? What props are used?

Reformed is the best. I started at 8x a month and now I do the unlimited founders rate for 189$. I highly recommend it. Every class is different. The instructors are so nice. I go to the North Dallas location at Preston and Campbell and they are still offering founders rates! I believe is $25 to try a week of unlimited!!

I ended up signing up and then quitting within a week but had to finish 2 months due to their cancellation policy. I thought it was okay—not bad, not great.

I am loving Reformed Pilates. I joined the Allen location in November at the founders rate, and I’ve been to both the Allen and Plano locations. I joined as someone brand new to Pilates, and I’m happy to share that I’ve gotten much much stronger in a relatively short amount of time. Some lingering hip pain that I’ve had for quite some time is all but gone. I can bend down and touch my toes for the first time in years. I took all the modifications at first and used the gondola pole, but now I don’t usually need the modifications and I usually choose the “challenge” spring setting. I tried Session Pilates, but found it to be too fast paced and there was no assistance offered for beginners that I can recall- I only took one class. I know a lot of people enjoy Session though.

I have the unlimited founders rate for $189 and go to the Plano location. It’s really close to my house and I like the people that attend. Instructors are great and workouts are consistent. I’ve been going for a little over a month and while the workout moves itself offer variety, I haven’t been in a class yet where they’ve used any props (but I know they have them!)

If you are familiar with Lagree, there is a Urban Core in downtown Plano you can check out. My wife goes there and loves it. I believe it is low impact - high intensity while Pilates is low impact - low intensity.

I’ve been there 10ish times or so and LOVE it. Unfortunately, it’s not super convenient for me and also a bit more expensive at 219/month with a 3 month commitment.

Studio 6 at Spring Creek and Legacy is also Lagree. They have a wide range of class times, you can a membership or buy class pack and they normally have sales on class packs during holidays (10-20% off).

Umm, Spring Creek and a legacy do not intersect.
Looking at maps there's a Studio 6 in West Plano by HEB, and one on 16th st & 75.

The unlimited is a good price I think.. i don’t have it though. session Pilates in the same area is more but I can’t remember. I’ve been to maybe 1 other Pilates studio in Dallas proper, so not experienced by any means.
used the jump board, ring, box, and ball. I think sometimes they will tell you when the jump class is but I got completely surprised once.
they offer modifications. It can be a little hectic at first if it’s a first time but I think they try to give you extra attention. They don’t really do many hands on adjustments / form correction.. it depends I guess… probably cause it’s a larger class.
The moves class to class are a mix of repetitive and new… like sometimes it feels predictable but they do change it up. And offer challenge springs and always mention how you can make it tougher. I don’t think I’m bored yet but I was thinking not sure how long I’ll do a membership for.
i find it odd that the instructor also acts as the front desk person… but It cuts costs for sure.
I’ve never had a problem booking the class I want (evenings though). People normally drop off.
I think they do first week for $25 so def try that!!

I like to reformed a lot more than other Pilates studios that I had tried. I did a couple of free classes when they opened up the Plano and Fairview locations. I don't have a membership though because I do other stuff but it is a studio I would consider going back to.

Where are you finding the $189 unlimited price? I'm on their website and I'm seeing $219 for unlimited, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
I'm going to Club Pilates right now and hemming & hawing over upping my membership to unlimited. I reeeeally don't want to pay $260/month, but I'm considering it bc I think Pilates works well for my body.
But if it really is $189 for unlimited across town, I'll drive across town!

Every time they open a new one, the founders rate is available at the new location. The one in McKinney is opening in like a month.

I’ve been to both the one in Allen and in Plano and I really enjoyed it. I did two weeks of a free trial, and went everyday. No class was the same, and I really appreciated that they offered modification and progressions. We used the resistance bands and the ring. Def worth the 189.
However, I ended up going with a Club Pilates membership because it’s the one closest to me. I’m paying 259$ a month there for unlimited because I didn’t want to drive to the other side of Plano for Reformed Pilates.
