Should I upgrade my 2080 Super to the 5060 Ti?

They have some in stock at my local microcenter, just wondering if its worth the upgrade or if I should just wait it out for another generation or maybe the 9070xt.
Right now i’m running my 2080super with the 5800x3d.
Upgrade or ride it out?

No, it's a bad product imo. It's already in a really strange spot of raster performance, because of it barely being able to hang in 1440p and will be very mid to bad in 1-2 years. You could use it to hop over fast to the next as soon as you can, but why bother. Sub 500 class is designed to be bad right now unfortunately.

You should expect 40% more performance.
It's up to you if this is enough to warrent the costs.

Actually about half of that it's not worth the upgrade. He should save a bit more or wait for next gen. If he needs a card right now it doesn't make sense to spend $500 for a 20% increase. 9070 would be a better choice.

Helll no it's basically the same performance if you are going to upgrade get an actual upgrade. If your budget is the $500 then the 9070 gre is probably much better for you when it launches. The 5060 is a horrible card for $500

They say a 3060ti 8gb is just like a 2080super, did we all see jays video? I’m not sure it would be a massive upgrade tbh a 9070 is a beast I have had a play with one it’s like a 5070.

Save more and get 5070 ti

I mean no offense, but questions like these are simple to answer, what games do you play, what is the performance uplift and is that worth it to you for the price. This is also why these questions are also hard to answer as a blanket, it's so specific. I suppose in this case you might also want to consider Nvidia's ai features as well, but yeah, the point stands.

Only you know if you are still pleased with the performance of your old graophics card or not and what your current and intended uses are. If you are pleased and do not think that you will need "more/better" any time soon, there is little reason to upgrade. If you are not pleased any more or expect to need the new features and/or improved performance, you surely can consider upgrading.

not a massive upgrade but u do get more of a perf gain from dlss 4 and more vram so u would def notice the upgrade.
it really just depends on the price of the 5060 ti and 9070 xt. Ik the 5070 at 550 isn't that hard to get and only a bit more than most 5060 ti 16gbs
