First of this particular species, according to the article ("alive in their natural environment," which yes ideally I would have put in the title but it's in the article): > Additionally, on January 25 a team on the previous Falkor (too) expedition filmed the first confirmed footage of the glacial glass squid (Galiteuthis glacialis) in the Southern Ocean near Antarctica. G. glacialis is another glass squid species that has never been seen alive in its natural environment before.

I dont know what I expected but I was suprised to see that they look just like the other Cranchiidae glass squids we see on blackwater dives. Super cool.
