Have you taken in a teenager who has been kicked out of home because of a family argument? Or have you been the teen? How did that work out?

Yep, we took in my sister-in-law. She had a difficult relationship with alcohol. If she had one drink she'd have to keep drinking until she went unconscious. After about 2 drinks she became obnoxious, and after 4 drinks she became violent. She had to leave the house she shared with her parents after setting it on fire. She was too drunk to say if it was deliberate or not, but the police told her she couldn't go home We let her move in with us on the condition that if she was drinking she would have to find somewhere else to sleep. Worked find for a bit, then she started back on the bottle, waiting til we'd gone to bed before starting drinking or adding vodka to soft drinks After a few occasions of this I put a tent up in the garden and said she'd need to sleep in there. After a few months of that it started to get cold so we let her back into the house but she carried on sneak drinking. On a few occasions we found her drinking so took her to a local hostel.and made her stay there for the night. But we eventually kicked her out as it was almost every night She was with us about 9 months. A few months later the police dropped charges so she moved back in with her parents This was about 12 years ago and she's in a much better place now. Still hasnt properly resolved her drinking but the police havent been involved for many years
