My atlas says theres low bridges in austin on 1-35 lowerdeck. I just need to drive through here on the way to Fort Worth. Am i good? Lowerdeck sounds like it may be referencing exits. I usually take tx-130-toll around. Please help. I wanna get home. Thanks guys.

It’s definitely my first option but it adds miles and im trying to take some miles off. Its a lot more relaxing.

Shorter doesn't mean quicker.

How?

Traffic, traffic lights, speed limit changes, etc., can all be in a "shorter" route but take you longer than starting on the faster route. In your case, going through Austin may be shorter but isn't going to be faster unless you hit it at some magical time with no traffic.

Yep! Ditto. I haven’t driven thru Austin in four years. The 130 toll road is so much less stressful.

The whole state of tx only has 2 low bridges the last I knew and I may be wrong but I believe it's down to 1

You're good. I drove through I35 in Austin my whole 1st year and the lower deck was always my preferred level, although upper level works fine as well. As long as your the standard 13'6" height, you'll make it.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I’ve been through once but it makes me paranoid seeing that bs in the atlas. You have a good one man.

Yea in Texas their standard seems to be 15 feet or more. So anything lower is called low.

The bridges are very low and you will see that, but standard dimension trucks will fit. Don't take anything oversized through there.

It’s close and scary but you can do either split and be fine.

Drive it all the time and as long as your 13"6 your good don't worry. But you don't even have to take the lower deck just take the right side. Takes you to the same place

Youll fit fine. I usually stay on top it avoids more exits
