What does the Awoo mean ?

Did someone happen to know what are meaning of the random "awooo" sound we hear in the backgroud during the episodes?
I search a bit and could not find anything. Seem like a transition sound, but it still confuse me a lot.

The music track often featured a reverbed woman’s voice singing “Awooooo!” It doesn’t mean much, but may be a nod to the early season’s sound design which featured more banjo and country music.
