Why are truckers so annoying and always use high beams to blind people in front

Yesterday there was a huge traffic because if the road work, and there trucker behind me blinded me whole 30-40 minutes
JankyMark@reddit
lol them and the idiot 4 wheelers have them on all the time when it’s night time
BeautifulPure898@reddit (OP)
Sometimes I so hate them that I want to break check, but I say anyways lets move on

Stop taking pictures while you’re driving…
BeautifulPure898@reddit (OP)
I took a picture to show you
santanzchild@reddit
Oh so distracted driving is legal as lomg as it's for internet cool points? Or maybe you get special Karen credits?
BeautifulPure898@reddit (OP)
The exact distance varies from state to state, but typically, high beam headlights must not be used within 500 feet of an approaching vehicle or within 200 or 300 feet of another vehicle you’re following
santanzchild@reddit
Ya and whats the law on cell phones and distracted driving.
offsetbackingtoright@reddit
There isn't a law against 4 wheel drivers holding a phone because they are much smaller and have less stopping distance. You're just being part of the problem because you enjoy that, that is who you are.
Waisted-Desert@reddit
Good thing you know every law in every state.

offsetbackingtoright@reddit
Those aren't states.
Waisted-Desert@reddit
I know, reading is hard. The first item listed is "24 states." How are those NOT states? Wanna give it a second read and see if you can better comprehend what "24 states" means? Go on, give it a go, I have faith in you.

Zinrockin@reddit
Wtf is this reply chain? lol
Just don't cut off 80,000 pound vehicles moving at high speeds.
Because if something happens and you have to slam on your brakes a moment after cutting in directly in front of them you're going to get slammed into by a semi-truck even if the semi started braking to re-create the space.
That's just how that works. It's not an impossible scenario so keep that in mind next time you consider merging directly in front of a semi.
JankyMark@reddit
lol it does make you want to yell what tf are you doing idiot?
Mysterious-Moose-431@reddit
Not all headlights are created equal. Some of our trucks at work blind the crap out of you without being on high beam.
Skeeter780@reddit
Not just trucks
Both_Somewhere4525@reddit
Lots of douche canoes in pickups with absolutely illegal headlight setups. They never get pulled over anymore.
Skeeter780@reddit
Really any vehicle with LED bulbs swapped in without proper projector housings is bad. Annoying for other drivers and usually dimmer for the driver in question
OrganizationNo6167@reddit
Another 4 wheeler playing victim
Dangerous_Ingenuity1@reddit
Well McScuse me! That there is a dodge ram, king of the interstate! He got the mojo of a Pete driver, and even has a Cummins under that there hood. How dare you call him a 4 wheeler! He's clearly the Chief!

Driving in a construction zone while on your phone. Brilliant 👍🏻
your-momspussy@reddit
W pickle
Jermaphobe456@reddit
You did something to deserve it lol. But go ahead and villify him and victimize yourself
Icy-Willingness9487@reddit
You didn’t spell brake correctly . Fkin tard
Icy-Willingness9487@reddit
Looking at your phone all the time makes you super sensitive to lights. The more you stare at your phone the brighter all lights seem to your weak and pathetic eyes
Ornery_Ads@reddit
Let me guess, everyone else was merging one from the left, one from the right, then you went zoom past 10+ cars to cut the trucker off?
Yeah... you wanted to be annoying to him.... and Golden Rule
Option_Total@reddit
Because we have a lot of shit heads out here nightly. It's either a Steering Wheel holder. Otherwise the Super Trucker being a me first asshat!
Wise_Goats@reddit
Next time angle your side mirrors away from the headlights. Use your mirror dimmer; it’s the flippable switch on the rear view mirror.
Also, those aren’t his high beams. You just happen to be at eye level.
Sufficient_Tooth_949@reddit
Theirs idiots in every profession, not all of us
Since the headlights are so high on a semi even the low beams can be pretty blinding, just adjust your mirror next time
BeautifulPure898@reddit (OP)
Adjust mirrors? To where? I have any other parts which can see?
santanzchild@reddit
You flick the lever on the bottom of your mirror specifically designed for cutting glare during night time driving ffs.
derpmcturd@reddit
gonna blind you even harder now
Nozerone@reddit
Based off how "bright" they seem to be in your mirror, those probably aren't the high beams, especially if it is a Cascadia that was made in the last 5 years. It's gotten harder to tell when someone actually has brights on, or when its just their normal headlights. I rarely ever use my brights, and I don't know how many times I've been flashed by people who think I have them on. Sometimes I kinda wish I could hear their reaction when I flash mine back at them.
There are a lot of people in cars that drive with their brights on too though, it isn't just a truck thing. The big problem though is that truck headlights are at a great height to directly shine into the back of small cars, which ends up making them seem bright compared to smaller vehicles.
VigilantThinker@reddit
I see more cars have their high beams on than trucks.
Far-Bell-1419@reddit
You 100 percent passed him going 10 over then got in front of him just to go 5 below. that's why you're getting the high beams. enjoy.
santanzchild@reddit
Why do jerkoffs in cars rush the merge to a construction zone then get stuck between two trucks anyway?
Why do four wheelers ignore the speed limit till the second you try to pass them just to speed up then go back to playing on their phone 5 under the speed limit as soon as the truck gets back behind them?
Why can't cars get up to speed and merge into a gap in traffic instead of going full send and making a cdl driver lock his brakes up so he doesn't kill the precious crotch goblins of the suicidal bimbo?
santanzchild@reddit
Oh and lets not forget the ass wipe going highway speeds taking a cellphone photo! Thats just icing on the cake. Fing reject.
Interesting-Door-695@reddit
I use my high beams after being cutoff more than 2 times in 5mins. Clearly I'm invisible without them at that point, yet traffic seems to see me when they're on....🤔
