The things that some of these journalist outlets run with these days is crazy lol. First it’s a bunch of journalist and car enthusiasts saying Mercedes is giving the V8 back to the C63 after their CEO only said V8s and V12s will continue to be made by Mercedes then it’s their removing all of their entry level models from the U.S. market.

"Journalism sure loves a good twist. First, there were the V8 comeback rumors, and now, entry-level models are vanishing. whats happening :)

Wouldn’t be the first time a lot of mainstream bloggers have said Mercedes is bringing a V8 to the C63 either. They had to deny it beforehand when car and driver reported they were giving it to the 2024 C63

Mercedes denying the rumors doesn't mean it's not happening, they're just protecting the integrity of their current product line up. Just like the Wrangler would never have a HEMI... Until it did.

It definitely holds more weight in regards to them not doing it then it does and only rationally so should be trusted

Not surprised, they get a good amount of sales of the base Mercs to people that simply want to show off to their friends and family with a Mercedes badge, even if the car is objectively worse in every way compared to its Japanese competitors...
The CLA250 for example...

The new CLA250 is pretty capable, are you referring to the old one?
I_Am_Very_Busy_7@reddit
Ugh that old one was really terrible, we would get them on trade once in awhile and it was kind of a turd. Except for the AMG’s, but we always just got base 250’s. The new one is miles better.

Even the AMGs, sure the tech was cool and all pushing that much power out of a 4cyl and the trick diffs, but 65k for a cla45 is absurd lol. Thats m340i or c43 pricing.
Always thought they were overhated though. The first gen was the most aerodynamic car for a short while, the current gen is decent to drive for the money and the shooting brake variant looks great,
Quick_Coyote_7649@reddit (OP)
That’s understandable reliability for a lot of their models is on the cooked side. I haven’t heard manny issues about the glc, e class, g class, and amg gt though

What’s wrong with my title?
BenekeSmith@reddit
It's misspelled
Quick_Coyote_7649@reddit (OP)
Okay? I made a typo. I think the world resumed by now if it stopped wheh I made a typo.

Maybe it’s because I’ll never be in the market for an entry level Mercedes, but it literally doesn’t affect me in any way if they decided to pull the GLA/CLA.
If I’m spending the money for a luxury brand I want a half decent car to come with it. GLA/CLAs they just don’t do it.
Quick_Coyote_7649@reddit (OP)
That’s what they offer for a half decent car lol, the reliability is a bit shot but a car is only suppose to be for going to point a to point b
BassWingerC-137@reddit
So it is true then.

Okay, give America buyers a cloth seat with iron wheel Mercedes model from Europe.

I hate this so much. I want people to have options for cars.
