Should I upgrade from my Ryzen 5 3600 when I have a RX 6700 XT?

Hi there,
I'm weighing the value of upgrading my CPU to a more powerful AM4 for playing double or triple-A games.
I bought my GPU (RX 6700 XT) pretty close to release and then in 2022 replaced my old (but cherished) i5 2500k with a Ryzen 5 3600 because it seemed a good value for a decent upgrade.
I'm considering spending \~$300 to upgrade the CPU or just saving up to do a full system refresh in a couple years.
Would be happy to know r/buildapc 's thoughts

If you’re at 1080p, 5700x3d or used 5800x3d should make a big difference

5700x3D would be my recommendation or save up and upgrade to am5 within this year or next since support till 2027. Or buy a 5700x3D and upgrade your power supply if you don't have at least a 850w. Honestly at the way parts are going a 1000w is something I'm considering recommending or building people's pcs with so they have headroom now.

5800x3d would be my choice
