How feasible would pilot be as a second career?

I'll be retiring from the Navy in about five years in my early 40s, having done nothing related to aviation in the Navy. If all goes well, I'll retire in Hawaii.
The only experience I have is a ppl and 100 or so hours in single engine land vfr.
How feasible would it be to use the GI bill for flight school and get a job flying interisland Hawaii for Southwest or Hawaiian/Alaska?

Southwest doesn’t have any Hawaii bases so you’d have to commute to one of their west coast bases in order to do the inter-island stuff.

Used my GI bill as a 400 hr pilot. Got IFR Comm and multi. Landed a gig flying PC12. Started my IFR at 50. Retired 34 years AF
