Why are FDE AR-15s so hard to find in stock right now?

I'm looking to buy my first AR. I'd like either a full rifle or upper and lower. I want a full FDE rifle. My idea was to get a BCM upper in 16 inch or 14.5, all fde, and a lower all FDE. I've found their lower in stock with all internals completely installed on Primary Arms. No luck with BCM restocking their FDE upper. Available nowhere else from what I've seen

Bcm has a lot of stuff sold out a lot of the time. Try looking at sites other than manufacturers. Try rooftop defense, primary arms, palmetto state armory just to name a few

Never heard of Rooftop defense. I've looked at Primary arms. FDE upper also out of stock. I'll check palmetto again too

You can also go the route of building an upper, only thing is having the tools to do it.

I dont. I could probably buy them? But I honestly just wanna get a complete upper

Brownells alumahyde
GullibleRisk2837@reddit (OP)
What's this?
JBoogie808@reddit
Brownells makes a great paint. Probably the best stuff I’ve used. Matches magpul colors pretty well in my experience.

Good to know! How high dollar is it? Do I just paint, or any prep work?
JBoogie808@reddit
It’s like $15-$20, definitely on the more expensive end for spray paint. I usually just give any parts a good wipe down and spray it on. You can heat cure it in the oven to get a good hard finish.

I'll just have w professional do it, probably. I'm not putting paint in my oven lol

Climate aridification created a run on khaki and beige ahead of the expanding desert / dust bowl before the water wars of the early 2030s after the comet strike.

Rattle can being... cerakote? Rust-Oleum is good from what I've seen on a friend's rifle. Someone else here said brownells, but that HAS to be pricy. I'll look it up
Full-Metal-Jack-off@reddit
Yes. Spray paint. Use whatever is cheapest.
38CFRM21@reddit
Spray paint it yourself or pay someone to cerakote it if you want a more professional look.
GullibleRisk2837@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I'd have someone else do it most likely.

Yeah, but tan works well in the woods too

Yeah, I've been considering getting a black rifle and doing this, with SPECIFICALLY Rust-Oleum
